A Look Into Miley Cyrus’ Career, Billy Ray Cyrus Talks About Vanity Fair Photo on Today Show

I am still waiting on a video clip, but Billy Ray Cyrus was on the Today Show and he opened up about the Vanity Fair photo shoot with his daughter Miley Cyrus. I have been wondering what Miley’s parents reaction was and Billy Ray tells us how surprised he was at what happened.
“I didn’t know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket.” He told America’s The Today Show: “I was surprised when I saw [the topless shot] but, hey, that’s life. Stuff happens.”
He sounds a bit more laid back about it than I expected, but he has had awhile to think about it. I still believe it wasn’t Miley’s fault and that she shouldn’t be blamed for the Vanity Fair thing. She was following the direction of a very famous photographer who was supposed to know what she was doing.
Anyway, enough about that. When I get my hands on the video clip I will post it because Billy Ray also talks about several others things.

Top Secret Vanity Fair Photo Shoot!

Sources have told Perez Hilton that on Friday and Saturday there was a top-secret Vanity Fair photo shoot that included a couple of Disney stars. Who? Ashley Tisdale and Ben Barnes (who plays Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia).
The shoot was for their annual “Movies Rock” issue. It will hit the news stands in November. I can’t wait to see this issue!!

Billy Ray Cyrus Praised Miley Saying “I’m Amazed She Kept On”

Billy Ray Cyrus is praising his daughter Miley Cyrus for putting on a brave face after the recent Vanity Fair photo shoot.
Billy Ray said to OK! “I can’t imagine being her age and going through what she went through. I’m amazed she kept on. I know the business can eat you alive, but I’m a calloused old veteran, and she’s a young, teenage girl. It’s a heck of a storm to survive even with maturity.“
It sounds like Miley has the support from her parents that she needs right now.

More Stars Weigh in on Miley Cyrus Photo Scandal Plus John Travolta Duet News

Two stars spoke up about Miley Cyrus and her recent Vanity Fair photo shoot scandal. Kelly Preston was at the Step Up Women’s Network’s Inspiration Awards luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and not only did she speak about the photos, but she mentioned a possible duet between Miley Cyrus and John Travolta. Both Miley and John do voice overs for the Disney movie Bolt.
“Johnny may sing with Miley,” Preston said at yesterday’s luncheon.
As for the photos, “We [now] know Miley very well,” Preston said, “and she’s a sweetheart.” Kelly Preston has not seen the Vanity Fair photos yet. “All I know is that I know her personally and she’s a really good girl with a great head on her shoulders,” she said.
Jamie Lee Curtis also had something to say at the luncheon about Miley.
“There is absolutely no way I would have been able to survive show business if I came of age now,” Curtis explained at the luncheon. “I’m 50 and I started acting when I was 19. If there was this kind of attention when I was 19 years old, I would never have survived.”
So, what do you think about a Cyrus Travolta duet? I bet it would be fun. I loved Travolta in Hairspray!
