“The Suite Life on Deck” Special PEOPLE issue

April 19, 2009 by Julie Bonner

81005A1_SPROUSE_B-GR_01 “The Suite Life on Deck” stars Dylan and Cole Sprouse grace the cover of a special collector’s issue of PEOPLE, which is on stands now. The twins shared what it was like switching places once.

Dylan said, “We tried once! Failed miserably. It was fourth or fifth grade. We tried to pull it on a teacher because I was really good at science and Cole’s really good at math, so he was going to take my math class while I took his science class, which were at the same time. We said, ‘All right, this is going to work!’ We go in and the teachers knew right off the bat but didn’t say anything. They wanted us to keep going. At the end, the teachers brought us in and said, ‘You’re never doing that again!’ We’ve never done it again.”

Debby Ryan is also featured on the magazine and she talked about co-star Brenda Song. “Brenda Song is like the Disney queen. She is one of my favorite actresses! I just found a journal from when I was in fifth or sixth grade and I wrote, “If I could be best friends with a celebrity it would be Brenda Song.’ It was hysterical!”

Brenda is definitely one of my favorite Disney Channel stars. Be sure and pick up your collector’s issue of PEOPLE today.

The Suite Life on Deck Promotional Photos

August 1, 2008 by Julie Bonner

I am so excited about these new promotional photos for the new Disney Channel series “The Suite Life on Deck” which debuts September 26th! We get to see the new set and also new stars to the show Debby Ryan and Steven Monroe. I am sad that Ashley Tisdale is gone, but I’ve heard she will make an appearance here and there. I don’t understand why Kim Rhodes is gone though?! Maybe she is moving on to other things, but she did such a great job playing Zack and Cody’s mom. I’m sad!

What do you think of the new characters and set?

The new show still has some of our favorites which include Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Brenda Song and Phill Lewis. The show also introduces newcomer Debby Ryan. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody ‘SS Tipton’

May 15, 2008 by Julie Bonner

The Suite Life of Zack and Codyis coming to an end and to lead into their new spin-off series “The Suite Life on Deck”, they have filmed a new episode called “SS Tipton“.

I don’t have an air date for the US yet, but I do have an episode description and I believe some video clips of the episode. Here’s the description:

Zack and Cody surprise Carey with a much needed cruise vacation on the SS Tipton. The boys barter for the trip by promising Carey will sing for their passage. When Carey refuses to sing they get down-graded accommodations. Maddie convinces London to turn her “Yay me” show into a 24 hour telethon to raise money for charity…a blizzard keeps their guests from showing up and the girls and Moseby must fill in!

Part 1 “SS Tipton”

Part 2 and 3 below the cut.

Brenda Song Talks About “The Suite Life on Deck”

May 12, 2008 by Julie Bonner

brenda-song-pictures-01_nc.bmp

Brenda Song did an interview with Mid Week and she talked about “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” spin-off series “The Suite Life on Deck“. Production for the series began in March.

So far, we know that “The Suite Life on Deck” takes place on a boat. We also know that some of the returning characters include Mr. Mosbey, Zack, Cody and London Tipton. Ashley Tisdale’s character, Maddie, won’t be a regular on the show, but it has been said that she will make a few guest appearances.

From what Brenda said, other characters will be revealed on the show:

“We’ll be traveling different places. It opens a lot of new doors for a lot of new characters and a lot of new settings. It’ll be really, really fun. I’m really excited. Some characters are going to be (in the new show), but we are leaving some characters behind. But they will guest star on the show and play recurring roles.”

They also had a surprise guest on the set and Brenda was quite excited! Who was it? Matt Damon!

“His stepdaughter came to watch the show, and I almost died when I met him. Like, I almost died. He’s not just gorgeous, but such a great person. He’s so sweet, so nice and down to earth. He was so nice and he talked to me, I was like ‘ohmygod, I love you. Will you marry me?’

How many of you will watch the spin-off series? I’m not too sure about it because The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was such a great show and extremely popular. Can Disney possibly create a spin-off that will do well? I guess we’ll find out!

Thanks to oceanUp for the scoop!
