"The Cheetah Girls One World" Extended Music Edition DVD

Yesterday, December 16th, was the release of “The Cheetah Girls One World: Extended Music Edition” on DVD and Blu-Ray. I saw the movie when it aired on the Disney Channel and had a chance to watch the DVD last week.

Although this wasn’t one of of my favorite Disney Channel Original Movies, I actually thought it was a good flick. I loved the fact that it was filmed in India and all the bright colors and authentic Indian costumes were brought to the movie.

The dance numbers were great. My favorite one is “Dance Me if You Can”. This DVD release is special, because it includes a never before seen music sequence. If you are a fan of the Cheetah Girls movie, I think you’ll like the extra dance scene.

The Cheetah Girls One World to Premiere Friday, August 22nd

We have an official date for “The Cheetah Girls One World” movie! It will make its premiere on the Disney Channel Friday, August 22nd at 8:00 pm ET/PT. The entire movie was filmed in Udaipur, India!

Leading up to the premiere, Disney will air “The Road to The Cheetah Girls One World”, which will show exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the movie. The show will make its debut on Friday, May 16th at 8:00 pm ET/PT on the Disney Channel. New segments will premiere biweekly in May, June and July, and weekly in August.

A detailed description description of both these shows is below the cut.

“The Road to The Cheetah Girls One World” opens as Adrienne, Kiely and Sabrina get ready for the adventure of filming a movie in India , from rehearsals to the first day of production in Udaipur , shooting scenes in various locales, including Monsoon Palace . In subsequent episodes, viewers are invited along as the cast gets an introduction to India ’s primary language of Hindi, and to their dance rehearsal with choreographer Fatima Robinson, who instructs them on the movie’s fusion of hip hop and traditional Indian dance.

The music and dance-driven story of “The Cheetah Girls One World” follows Chanel, Aqua and Dorinda — The Cheetah Girls — as they travel from New York to India to star in a film directed by an aspiring Bollywood movie director. Upon arriving, they are shocked to learn their movie’s producer has a role for only one Cheetah Girl. Dreams and friendships are tested as they begin to compete against each other for the title role. Before long, the three girls start to question their commitment to The Cheetah Girls’ dream, and each must weigh her own aspirations against the group’s future.

I can’t wait to see this movie and see The Cheetah Girls back together again. It will be interesting to see if their ratings are as good as the other two Cheetah Girls movies, now that Raven Symone is out of the picture. What do you think?

The Cheetah Girls Headed to Their First Dance Rehearsal in India

The Cheetah Girls are filming their third movie, The Cheetah Girls One World, in India. Here is a short clip of the girls showing us their moves as they are waiting to head to their first dance rehearsal. I wonder if that lady in the background thought they were obnoxious, lol!

The Cheetah Girls One World movie is set to hit the Disney Channel sometime in August 2008. From what I’ve heard, the girls have wrapped up filming in India, but I’m not completely sure. I’m sure you have heard about The Cheetah Girls One World Movie which is the 3rd movie for The Cheetah Girls. I have been searching high and low looking for all the information I can find about this movie.

So, here’s the plot from imdb.com: In this “trequel” to The Cheetah Girls, Chanel, Dorinda, and Aqua, are off to India to star in a Bollywood movie. But when there they discover that they will have to compete against each other to get the role in the movie. Will the Cheetah’s break up again? This film stars the basic cast from The Cheetah Girls 2, excluding Raven-Symone’s character Galleria Garibaldi.

It’s scheduled to be released on The Disney Channel August of 2008. They are filming in India, which I bet is amazing.
