Selena Gomez called into Radio Disney and got the news of her life. She was rather excited! What was the news? Her single “Falling Down” hit the number one spot for the first time on Radio Disney’s “TOP 30 Countdown with Jake” this weekend. You can listen to her reaction here. Here’s Selena’s music video for her single.

When Selena found out the news, she said, “WHAT?! Are you kidding me?!” she screamed, “I never, ever had #1 and I listen to the countdown – thank you!”

Congratulations Selena! You deserve it.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF from Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is an ambassador for UNICEF and a spokesperson for the Trick-or-Treat for Unicef program for the second year in a row. She recently took a trip to Ghana, which she has said was “life changing”. Here is some great footage from her trip. It looks like she had one amazing time and really made a difference.

On her trip to Ghana: "I got to meet teens, I got to meet children, I got to meet families – it was completely life-changing and eye-opening, and when we came back we definitely had nothing to complain about."

On people not knowing where Ghana is: "I had people on my tour asking me where IS Ghana, and they Googled it … and because I went there, they now know where Ghana is. So it’s pretty incredible.”

Disney Stars Go Behind-the-Scenes of “Send it On” Music Video

Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus take us behind-the-scene of Disney’s Friends for Change “Send it On” music video. The song premiered yesterday on Radio Disney. (You can hear the full song here.) In this clip, you can see a part of the music video, which will premiere on FRIDAY, AUGUST 14 on Disney Channel.

The video has each of the stars talking about their experience making the video. I love seeing all of these stars collaborate for one song. They look and sound great together!

A half-hour special programming event, "Lights, Camera, Take Action! Backstage with Disney’s Friends for Change," taking viewers behind the scenes during production of the campaign, will premiere FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 immediately following "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

We are just over two weeks away from the Disney Channel premiere of “Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie”! In this new DCOM Extra, Selena Gomez and David Henrie talk about some of the special effects you’ll see in the movie.

What kind of special effects can you expect? Balls of fire, bottomless pits, a runaway subway car…just to name a few. And guess what producers used as their green screen? A golf course! How crazy is that?!

Did you watch the premiere of Selena Gomez’s “Magic” music video on the Disney Channel last night? I did! The music video featured scenes from the upcoming "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie," which premieres Friday, August 28 on Disney Channel.

The"Wizards of Waverly Place" soundtrack releases worldwide Tuesday, August 4 and includes musical selections inspired by "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" and the Emmy-nominated series "Wizards of Waverly Place," including four songs performed by Gomez.

Selena’s New Music Video “Magic” Premieres Today!

The Disney Channel is premiering Selena Gomez’s new music video “Magic” today, Friday, July 24th, at 8:59 p.m. ET/PT. Radio Disney will premiere the song, which is featured on the soon to be released "Wizards of Waverly Place" soundtrack, earlier that day (3:00 p.m. PT/ 6:00p.m. ET).

The music video features scenes from the upcoming "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie," which premieres Friday, August 28 on Disney Channel.

The"Wizards of Waverly Place" soundtrack releases worldwide Tuesday, August 4 and includes musical selections inspired by "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" and the Emmy-nominated series "Wizards of Waverly Place," including four songs performed by Gomez.

The "Magic" music video will premiere after the first episode in the "Wizards vs. Vampires" four-episode programming event which follows the Russo family and their encounters with the Van Heusens, a family of vampires who own a competing sandwich shop. Beginning FRIDAY, JULY 24 (8:00- 8:45 p.m. ET/PT), new episodes will air for three consecutive Friday’s thereafter.

Happy Birthday Selena Gomez!

Today is Selena’s 17th Birthday! Disney Society and all of our readers want to wish Selena Gomez a very Happy Birthday!!

After rehearsing for a very long time, Selena went back to her room to find some beautiful yellow roses. The yellow rose of Texas, which is where this Disney star is from. She tweeted, “After A LOT of rehearsing, I came back into my room to find these….. Thank you” and “Okay, so this is amazing…… Thank you, again ”. Check out these beautiful flowers.
