Don’t forget that ‘High School Musical: Get in the Picture‘ debuts tonight, July 20th, on ABC at 7 pm. It really looks like it’s going to be a great show and the winner gets to be in a music video which will air during the ending credits of High School Musical 3.

The show has lots of singing, dancing, High School Musical songs and plenty of drama. Enough for even Sharpay I think! I’ll be watching and checking out all the talent.

Last night, during the ABC Family premiere of “Camp Rock”, they showed a 5 minute sneak peek of “High School Musical:Get in the Picture”. We get to see some of the talent that is there and also see that some romances may be happening on the set. It looks like there will be plenty of drama!

Only 12 contestants will be chosen to go on and they will get to go to the High School Musical 3 set and meet with Kenny Ortega!!

This show looks so good and I have a feeling I will be addicted. What a great show!!

On Saturday, June 21st during ABC’s telecast of “Camp Rock“, you can see a sneak peek of the new reality show “High School Musical: Get in the Picture“.

The show, hosted by Nick Lachey (that’s a reason right there for me to watch, lol!), follows some young and talented teenagers that are participating in a summer program to hone their music skills.

The winner will become part of “High School Musical” history and will literally “Get in the Picture“. The one lucky person will star in a music video that will air during the ending credits of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year“. The winner will also receive an exclusive talent hold agreement with ABC and a recording contract for 2 singles with Walt Disney Records.

The show makes its debut on Sunday, July 20th on ABC and will run Sundays and Mondays for three weeks and then only on Mondays through September.

I’ve been told we can expect some guests appearances by some of the High School Musical 3 cast!!

You can also most likely expect to see some products show up at Kmart, who is the on-air and online retail partner with “High School Musical: Get in the Picture“.

The open casting calls for ABC’s reality show “High School Musical: Get in the Picture” are in full swing! The picture above is from the auditions in Orlando, Florida at Disney World’s Wide World of Sports Complex.

West Palm Beach’s WPBF was there to catch all the excitement and listen to reality show hopefuls sing a few chords for them. Take a look:

“High School Musical: Get in the Picture” is being hosted by Nick Lackey and will make its TV debut on July 20th on ABC. One lucky winner will become a part of the High School Musical family, which means they get to appear in a music video shown on the closing credits of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”!

This is a huge opportunity for kids who are wanting to get that jump start in their acting and singing career. I have a feeling that this show is going to be a ratings boost and that this isn’t the last reality show of this type that we’ll see.

Disney just announced that Nick Lachey will be the host of “High School Musical:Summer Session.” This is the reality shoe coming out this summer which is based on the very popular High School Musical movies. The winner of this reality show will become a part of the High School Musical family in some way.

Open casting calls for “High School Musical: Summer Session” start this Sunday, April 27th at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California. They continue on Wednesday, May 7th at the Champion Stadium in Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Both of these casting calls will form part of the early episodes of the show.

If you are between the ages of 16 and 22, you are welcomed to participate in the auditions. If you are under 18, you must bring a parent or legal guardian along with you. Please visit here to download the application and view the eligibility requirements.

The series will debut on ABC Sunday, July 20th (8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET). It will run on Sundays and Mondays for three weeks, then continue on Mondays at 8:00 p.m., ET through mid-September.
