Not only did chief creative officer John Lasseter show clips and sketches from the film, he also revealed three ways Rapunzel leads the pack when it comes to the Disney princesses we all know and love.

You can read all three things here, but the one that I loved the most was how she uses her hair as a weapon!

2) Her hair is a tool and a weapon. Computer artists have given Rapunzel 70 feet of fully articulated hair that she can use as a lasso, as a whip like Indiana Jones, and in more surprising innovations, Lasseter promised. It flows through her entire house, and when she’s out in the forest, she has to wrap it around trees to keep it contained.

How cool is that? Love it.

Although there are some changes we will see with Rapunzel compared to the other Disney princesses, she still honors the traditional princess stories. How exactly? She sings, she completes the Disney collection and it’s a Disney milestone. You can read what these three things actually mean here.

Walt Disney Pictures presents ‘Race to Witch Mountain’ in theaters on March 13, 2009. This action/adventure film has a great cast lineup which includes Dwayne Johnson and AnnaSophia Robb.

Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Studios have released a new trailer for the upcoming 2009 movie "UP". The sneak peek displays movies the studios have made together, which include "Toy Story", "The Incredibles" and most recently "Wall-E".

Carl, a rather grumpy old man, is about to go on an amazing journey without ever leaving his home. In the new trailer, you can see that thousands of balloons are tied to his house, which lifts his house "UP" in the air. As Carl is staying inside to enjoy the journey, he hears a knock at his door and is greeted by a surprise.

"UP" comes to a theater near you on May 29, 2009.

Walt Disney Pictures presents "Bedtime Stories" due in theaters on Christmas Day (December 25, 2008).  From director Adam Shankman ("Hairspray", "The Wedding Planner") this movie features a star cast, including Adam Sandler, Keri Russell, Guy Pearce, Courteney Cox and Russell Brand. Keri Russell is one of my favorite actresses (I was a "Felicity" fan!) so I am really looking forward to this movie.

"Bedtime Stories" is an adventure comedy starring Adam Sandler, who plays Skeeter Bronson. Skeeter is a hotel handyman whose life changes forever after he tells his niece and nephew a bedtime story that ends up coming true. Attempting to use this for his own advantage, things go a little awry when the kid’s contributions to the story turn his life upside down.

This sounds like one funny movie and perfect for a Christmas Day movie for the entire family to go see.

"Confessions of a Shopaholic", starring Isla Fisher, is about a New York City girl who has a tiny problem – she’s addicted to shopping and is drowning in debt. Due in theaters February 13, 2009, this romantic comedy is sure to delight female movie-goers. I myself am a romantic comedy nut, so you can bet I will be seeing this one!

Isla Fisher plays Rebecca Bloomwood, who has dream of working for a top fashion magazine, but is having problems getting her foot in the door. Rebecca snags a job as an advice columnist for a new financial magazine published by the same company. Overnight, her column becomes extremely popular which turns her into a celebrity.

Rebecca’s shopping and debt start spiraling out of control and threatens to destroy her love life and her career. While trying to keep everything from falling apart, she is forced to reevaluate what’s really important in life.

The film is produced by the amazing Jerry Bruckheimer and director P.J. Hogan and includes quite the star line-up.

“Hatching Pete” includes not only Jason Dolley, but also Mitchel Musso (Hannah Montana) and Brian Stepanek (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody). The movie was filmed in Utah at Hillcrest High School.

Here’s the movie plot:

Cleatus Poole (Mitchel Musso) is the school mascot at Hondo High School and his whole family have been mascots too, but he’s allergic to the costume. So his best friend Pete (Jason Dolley) dons the costume and becomes immensely popular, although no one knows that it’s not Poole in the costume. As a result, a falling out occurs between the friends.

Sounds like a cute movie!

It was just announced that Orlando Bloom will star in the lead role in the upcoming Disney Movie “Prince of Persia:Sands of Time“. Allegedly, he beat out Zac Efron for the role. I like Zac, but I think Orlando will be perfect for this role.

The deal is reportedly worth around 40 million and will start production in July. The great Jerry Bruckheimer is the director.

If you are a comic book lover, then you know the name Stan Lee. He is the genius behind Spiderman, The Hulk, X-Men, Fantastic Four and more. Lee has set up three new projects at Disney and if they are anything like these others, they are going to be a big hit.

Here’s a description of the three projects:

The three projects are “Nick Ratchet” (about the adventures of a private eye), “Blaze” (described only as an “action-adventure”), and “Tigress” (about a woman that starts to develop feline instincts).

When asked about these projects Lee replies, “I only hope Disney will have room at the theme park once they become the tentpole franchises that we envision them to be.” Like I said, they are going to be BIG!

Jason Dolley and Mitchel Musso have teamed up for a new Disney movie called “Hatching Pete“. Jason is playing Pete, who’s a shy high school student, and Mitchel is playing his best friend.

They just recently started filming in Utah, close to the High School Musical 3 set! How cool is that?!
