Stephanie Cohen, editor of JSYK.com, said “I think Miley is in an interesting space where she is trying to graduate from being ‘Hannah Montana’ and a Disney channel celebrity and coming into her own and having a career beyond Disney. I think her fans still want her to be the sweet Hannah Montana and she is trying to age up…Parents are definitely resisting it.”

Miley also came in No. 4 for favorite female artist, behind Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

Maybe Miley hasn’t made the best decisions all the time, but she is trying grow up in front of the world. Being 16 isn’t easy anyway, but having to be 16 in front of everyone can be tough. And like Stephanie Cohen said, Miley is trying to age up and graduate from Hannah Montana. That’s tough.

Gossip Cop has proved that this story has no truth to it:

The paper claims that a source close to the “Hannah Montana” star says that an “all-controlling” Billy Ray feels the two teens are “going too far, too fast,” and that this “is causing a lot of conflict in the family.”

And while a number of other sites also reported this as fact, it is actually fiction. A rep for both Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus tells Gossip Cop, “There’s no truth to this one.”

Lame rumor…not true. Thanks Gossip Cop!!

“The Last Song” is a drama centered on a rebellious girl who is sent to a Southern beach town for the summer to stay with her father. Through their mutual love of music, the estranged duo learn to reconnect. Miley finished up shooting on the movie in mid August.

What’s all going on with the Hannah Montana star? Let’s see…she was on the Today Show this morning for their concert series, she has a new clothing line out, she just wrapped up filming The Last Song, she is about to go on tour starting September 14th, she will start filming on season 4 of Hannah Montana and she has a new album coming out on August 31st. Phew!!

So just a note to those who keep speculating who she’s dating…the girl has NO time for boys right?!

Anyway, Miley updated her MileyWorld blog to let us know just how excited she is about her new album, The Time Of Our Lives.

She said, “I just realized my album comes out in 4 days. I am so excited. Honestly there are so many times when I get so frustrated and just want to give up music. Its so hard to see people that don’t genuinely love the ART of music release songs that don’t mean anything and people listen to them. My heart also aches for the people out there with so much talent and are selling out and just producing the music they are told to. I am so grateful for the success ‘Party in the USA’ has had but that is not who I am. I needed a song that would be good inspiration for the clothing line and no doubt it is a great summer party song!

But there is so much more to me than what has been heard. There is a song on the new EP called ‘Obsessed’ and ‘When I look at you’ and THAT is the type of music I am proud of! There is also a song on there called Talk is cheap and Kicking and screaming that I am so excited for you all to hear.

I’m so stoked about this album coming out because it is a good transition into my next record. The one that will be ALL me. The one that will inspire and hopefully change lives. I want to be seen as more than this disney artist.”

Us magazine senior editor Ian Drew said that Miley fans shouldn’t be surprised because this image has been coming for some time. He said, “She already has this risque image, so it really wasn’t much of a stretch. That’s how Britney took off. She was the good girl gone bad, and it looks to be working for Miley as well.”

FOX has refused to comment on the performance, other than confirmed yesterday that it would be included in the show.

A spokesperson for Disney said, “Disney Channel won’t be commenting on that performance, although parents can rest assured that all content presented on the Disney Channel is age-appropriate for our audience – kids 6-14 – and consistent with what our brand values are.”

I believe in taking really good care of your skin inside and out, so I thought I would share a few Skincare Tips for Beginners. I have extremely sensitive skin and have learned what having great skin means, the hard way!

You Are What You Eat

Before we can go into what you put on your face, we have to talk about what you put in your body first. You may know someone who can eat anything they want and still has perfect skin, but that usually isn’t the case for most of us. In order to have good skin, a healthy diet and keeping yourself hydrated is extremely important.

Some fruits that are great for your skin are oranges, grapefruit, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and plums. Spinach and broccoli fall into the leafy green category, which gives your skin the Vitamin A it needs.

If there is one thing that you can do, above all else, to ensure good skin that is… DRINK MORE WATER! Your skin will thank you and will be well hydrated. You might even notice you have more energy, which is a nice added bonus.

Get Your Beauty Sleep

A good solid night of sleep can make all the difference when it comes to the appearance of your skin. “Beauty sleep” is not just some catchy phrase someone made up. It lives up to its name! To be beautiful and have great skin, make sure you get enough rest. Everyone is different, and it also depends on your age, as to how much sleep you need. Tweens and teens usually need anywhere from 8 to 11 hours of sleep a night.

Find a Gentle Cleanser

Finding just the right cleanser for your face is very important. If you have sensitive skin, like I do, then your basic gentle cleanser is all you will want to put on your face. When you start using cleansers with perfumes and all kinds of other unnecessary ingredients, it can clog your pores and also cause a slight rash.

Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate

Once I realized what exfoliating twice a week can do for your skin, I was hooked! Exfoliating gets rid of those dead skin cells that can make your skin appear dry and flaky. If you have oily skin, it can reduce some of the shine.

Most people only need to exfoliate twice a week. Too much can actually harm your skin and you definitely do not want that. Also, be sure and gently scrub your skin and don’t scrub too hard.

Moisturize

I use a moisturizer morning and night because of my very dry skin. If your skin is super oily, you may find that only applying moisturizer once a day is plenty. A good basic moisturizer with SPF is all you need. The SPF is very important because it protects your skin from sun damage. You can always tell when someone has been soaking in those sun rays too much, because they usually have an uneven skin tone and blotchy skin.

So there you have it! Those are some very basic tips for taking care of your skin. I guarantee you that within a week of changing your diet, drinking more water, cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing your skin – you will notice a difference!
