Nicholas Sparks, who is known for writing some tear jerking books like The Notebook and Nights at Rodanthe, has said he wrote The Last Song with Miley Cyrus in mind. His books are often made into movies and The Notebook is one of my all-time favorites.

The book version of The Last Song, will hit stores this fall, just a short few months before the movie is slated for the big screen on January 8, 2010.

Miley will play “a rebellious teen sent to spend the summer with her estranged father. He tries to reconnect with her through the one thing they have in common: music.” Greg Kinnear will play the estranged father and Kelly Preston is set to play the mother.

Also, did you know that Tish Cyrus is the executive producer for the film? It’s a family affair!

From all of the pictures we have seen of Miley lately on set, it definitely looks like this is one romantic Disney drama.

Miley Cyrus has been in Savannah, Georgia filming her newest movie “The Last Song”. Filming officially started a couple of days ago and that means we have pictures from the set! Check out this picture of Miley kissing co-star Liam Hemsworth.

Miley and Liam were hard at work yesterday (June 17) 0n the set and were pictured coming out of their trailers. Who else is in this film? It’s not just Miley and Liam! There are a couple of others who’s names you may recognize.

Greg Kinear and Kelly Preston play Miley’s parents in “The Last Song”. Miley plays a teen who is sent to spend the summer with her estranged father. I am really forward to seeing Miley in something other than Hannah Montana related stuff. I think we just might get to see what this girl is made of when it comes to acting. What do you think?! Everyone is talking about Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas‘ jet ski adventure at Tybee Island. A local even got some footage on video and E! News has it!

You can see the two friends jet skiiing around and also, it appears that they give each other a little smooch. Aw. Miley talked about how her and Nick Jons have reconnected, but when asked about the jet skiing she said, “No comment”.

Miley told a radio show, “My family is super happy that we are hanging out again.” She went onto say, “We have definitely reconnected and we don’t know what’s going to happen int he future but right now we’re just kind of kickin’ it and hanging out as mich as we can.”

I can hear the Niley fans screaming…

According to The Coastal Source and oceanup, Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas were seen jet skiing together at Tybee Island in Georgia. Check out the picture in this video clip.

It was rumored that Nick flew out to GA to spend some time with Miley and he was pictured at LaGuardia airport supposedly coming back from his trip. What do you think? Good friends or is Niley back?!

Demi Lovato talks to Twist Magazine about missing her friends, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, who are all over. She says she’s the only one in California right now.

She says, “So, my best friends are all over and I’m kind of the only on in California right now, but whenever I get to see it’s amazing. Selena…well, she just got back but she’s been in Vancouver and I’m about to leave on tour. Miley’s in Georgia. Yeah, I really really miss all of them but when we get together we just really have a great time and I love talking to them about anything. I love them.”

An insider has confirmed to JustJared.com that Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend of 9 months Justin Gaston have split.

“They broke up on Sunday,” an insider confirms to JustJared.com. “She’s now in Savannah filming [her new movie The Last Song] for three months.”

According to E! Online the split is due to Miley’s relationship with Nick Jonas. “She obviously has been hanging out with Nick again a lot, and Justin was cool with it at first, as long as it was just a cool, friendly thing. She didn’t cheat, but I guess Nick was trying to get her back the whole time.”

Miley and Justin have both been pouring out there thoughts on twitter. Miley said, “life will go on. you will smile again…. we will smile again.” Justin said, “How many tears are in* there? They’ve gotta run out soon right?” But he seems to be in a better mood after tweeting, “Taco Tuesday and bowling with a bunchh of friends!!! I never do this”.

I wish them both the best! Miley will be in Savannah for three months filming “The Last Song”.

As I told you earlier this week, “Hannah Montana” season 3 was wrapping up. Yesterday was the end and Miley Cyrus posted some great twitpic pictures of her, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso and Jason Earles on the set.

We can see the sad faces of Miley, Mitchel and Emily here. Awwwwwww. Miley and Jason make a funny face for the camera here. That Jason cracks me up! He’s a fun person to talk to (psst. check out my exclusive interview with him here.).

Don’t be too sad about season 3 wrapping, because we all have season 4 to look forward to, which will be quite different than any season ever! The storyline for the fourth season will have the Stewarts grappling with saying goodbye to their beachfront Malibu home. Sounds kind of sad doesn’t it?

So, what’s up for the stars of the show while they have some time off?

Miley left for Arkansas last night and then is headed to Georgia to film her newest movie “The Last Song”. Miley taked about her co-star at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. You have to read what she said here.

Mitchel Musso will be working on his music career. (Have you purchased  his album yet? What?! You must!!)

As far as Emily and Jason, I’m not sure what they’ll be up to exactly. Maybe just resting up for an awesome season 4 in 2010!

Goodbye season 3…hellooooooo season 4!

At the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, Miley Cyrus talked about her “The Last Song” co-star Liam Hemsworth.  She said, “I got a hot boy. I can’t say that too many times, but he is attractive. Not bad to look at for the summer.”

Is there any romance in the movie? Possibly some smooching?

“Maybe,” Miley said with a smile. “I don’t know.”

Melissa George, who stars opposite Liam in the upcoming thriller The Triangle had this to say about the young star.

“Honestly, he is a superstar in the making”. Does she think Justin Gaston (Miley’s man) should be worried?

“Yes, [Justin] should be worried,” George said. “I certainly think he has some competition.”

She went on to say, “Not only is Liam wonderful to look at—he’s a gorgeous guy—but his spirit and his soul are just incredible. I’ve never worked with a nicer guy in my life. And I’m not just saying that. He is the most amazing person.”

Hmmm, looks like Miley Cyrus will have a fun summer. She leaves possibly today to start filming “The Last Song” in Georgia!

On June 7th, a brand new episode of “Hannah Montana” airs called “Jake…Another Little Piece of My Heart”. Miley runs into Jake Ryan (Cody Linley) in Las Vegas. She’s shocked to learn that he plans to marry Traci, so she plots to stop the wedding. Meanwhile, Rico tries to disrupt Jackson’s date.

Disney announced yesterday that season 4 of “Hannah Montana” has been picked up. Production on season 3 wraps up this week and season 4 production will start sometime next year. The storyline for the fourth season will have the Stewarts grappling with saying goodbye to their beachfront Malibu home.

So far, fans reactions have been very good about this news. Are you ready for more Hannah Montana? I think there needed to be a season 4 and then it’s probably time for something new and for Miley Cyrus to be able to move on to other things.
