The event was sponsored by Disney and benefited the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Miley performed at the event, singing hit songs such as “Fly on the Wall”.

Popstar! was at the event and interviewed Miley on the red carpet. They asked her if she could read anyone’s diary, who’s would it be. Who’s diary would she read?

Miley said, “If I could read anyone’s diary, it would have to be Johnny Depp’s diary because he probably talks about movies he’s gonna do and then I could sneak in there and beg him to let me be in one”.

Johnny Depp’s diary would no doubt be a good read!

Interview with Miley Cyrus About “BOLT”

March 23, 2009 by Julie Bonner

In celebration of March 22nd Blu-ray & March 24th DVD releases of BOLT, here’s an interview with Miley Cyrus who does the voice of Penny, Bolt’s person.

Miley talks about relying on her own voice, her dogs and how her and Penny are alike/different.

Q:  You’re an actress and a performer.  In animation, we only get to hear your voice.  What was it like just relying on your voice?

MILEY CYRUS:  Ever since I was little, people would always make jokes about my low voice.  But they also complimented me on it—‘it’s so different, it’s so low.’  But still, in school, people would make fun of it.  But now, I think it’s so cool that you don’t have to have the picture-perfect, girly voice to do an animated film.  I think it’s great for kids with different voices to know that they could do something like this.

Q:  How many dogs do you have?  It comes across in your voice when your character is playing with Bolt.

MILEY CYRUS:  I have six.  You could tell?  You could hear the baby voice?  ‘Come on, boy, c’mon Bolt!’  Everyone was laughing when I was doing that part—they thought it was the greatest thing that I was speaking to Bolt like he was real.  Yeah, I have six dogs, and I love ‘em!

Miley Cyrus is featured at Billboard.com and she chats it up about “Hannah Montana: The Movie”, the Hoe Down Throw Down and her music.

Some of her fans have been wondering if the movie is meant to be the end to the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana”. From the previews we have seen and the story line, it seems like that could be a possibility. What does Miley have to say about that:

“This movie was never meant to be the end of Hannah Montana,” she says. “The thing is, a lot of people put where the show’s future lays in my hands—and it’s not up to me. It’s up to Disney and whether they want more episodes, and we hope that they do.”
