Here’s a list of some of their upcoming projects:

• Zac Efron is starring in “17 Again”, which is hitting the big screen here in the U.S. April 17th. He is also attached to the remake of “Footloose” and “Johnny Quest”.
• Jonas Brothers are set to star in “Walter the Farting Dog”.
• Selena Gomez will play Beezus in "Beezus and Ramona”.
• You can see Vanessa Hudgens in the upcoming movie “Bandslam”. She is also set to star in "Sucker Punch”.

Who else is stepping out and starring in other projects? Well, we know The Cheetah Girls have broken up and are pursuing their own non-Disney projects. What’s next for stars like Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and the Sprouse twins? Time will tell!

Forbes Magazine says that 2007 was the year of Miley Cyrus and 2008 is the year of the Jonas Brothers. The magazine named 10 stars on their ‘Breakout Stars of 2008′ list.

Why do they say 2008 is the year of Kevin, Joe and Nick? Here’s why?

‘They’ve scored starring roles in the Disney Channel flick Camp Rock, hit the road for a sold-out concert tour and released a chart-topping album–A Little Bit Longer. In fact, for the year ending June 2008, the superstar trio collectively banked $12 million. Next up, a 3-D concert movie and a Disney Channel TV series, not to mention still more swooning from the ‘tween girl set.’

Most recently the Jonas Brothers were nominated for a Grammy, which is HUGE for them! Could 2009 possibly be even a bigger year for them? I think it just might.

Other Disney stars that made the list include Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Are there any other Disney kids that you think should have made this list?

2009 is right around the corner! The cast of ‘Wizards if Waverly Place’ is celebrating by hosting Totally New Year ‘09. Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone will be on the Disney Channel Wednesday, December 31 from 6 PM to 12:30 AM ET/PT.

Quite a few Disney Stars attended the ‘Twilight’ premiere instead of the BOLT premiere. That doesn’t surprise me. Even though Twilight isn’t a Disney film, it’s HUGE among that age group and I am sure fellow actors and actresses wanted to show their support for the ‘Twilight’ stars. I wonder if Miley Cyrus was offended. What do you think?

Do you ever wonder what it was about Disney stars like the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus, that Disney casting agents saw and knew they had that “star quality’? Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to be a Disney Channel star? I know many of you have!

Access Hollywood spoke with Disney Channel’s VP of Casting and Talent Relations, Judy Taylor, who discovered names such as Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and that oh-so-popular ‘High School Musical’ gang.
