“Phineas and Ferb” Memorial Day Marathon
May 22, 2009 by Julie Bonner
“There’s 104 days of summer vacation…” Does that song ring a bell? It’s the “Phineas and Ferb” theme song and the 104 days of summer vacation begins with a marathon of the Emmy-nominated hit series "Phineas and Ferb," Monday, May 25 (2:00 –10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
Not only will you get to see episodes of this hit show, but during the program breaks, you’ll be taken behind-the-scenes uring production and provide step-by-step instructions on how to draw the popular characters Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Agent P and Perry the Platypus. Printable instructions are also available for download at DisneyChannel.com.
This has already aired in the UK and I’ve seen some video clips of how they draw the characters. It’s pretty cool and if you have any artistic abilities what-so-ever, you might want to give it a shot.

May 21, 2008 by Julie Bonner
Disney has officially greenlighted the new Disney Channel series “Welcome to Mollywood” starring Camp Rock’s Demi Lovato! Guess what everyone is saying? “Watch out Miley and Hilary!”
This show has the potential to put Demi at the same star status as Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff.
The series centers on Molly, a 15-year old small town girl, is chosen to join the cast of the most popular and long-running teen sketch comedy show on television, after a nation-wide search. The series will feature a show-within-a-show and will have quite its fair share of comedy sketches.
The “Welcome to Mollywood” cast also includes Tiffany Thornton, Brandon Mychal Smith, Doug Brochu and Allisyn Ashley Arm. Production is set for September.
“This series is rooted in one of the core thematic attributes that we stand for, which is following your dream,” said Gary Marsh, president of entertainment at Disney Channels Worldwide. “There also was the opportunity to do a hybrid show.”
Demi is rising to the top of the heap of Disney Channel Stars fast! She has a lot going on right now including Camp Rock, Princess Protection Program, As the Bell Rings and she also signed on with Disney’s Hollywood Records and will tour with the Jonas Brothers this summer. WOW! We will be seeing a lot of Demi in these next few months.

Disney Channel Orders a Third Season of Hannah Montana, As Well As Other Shows and Movies

Disney has been busy making announcements lately. The newest ones are which series they have ordered back for more and what Disney Channel Original Movies are in the works.
If you were wondering about the future of “Hannah Montana“, don’t worry. Disney ordered a third season of the hit show, so we can all expect new episodes which will make some of you very very happy! They have also picked up a second season of “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Phineas and Ferb“.
As far as the hugely popular Disney Channel Original Movies, we have all heard that High School Musical 4 is already being written. Which was pretty exciting news. What else is on the DCOM schedule?
- “Dadnapped” starring Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Moises Arias, David Henrie and Phill Lewis, which is built around a girl who is frustrated with her author-father, who is never around. During a father-daughter vacation, her dad goes missing and she must find him.
- “Princess Protection Program” starring Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Tom Verica, which is about a teenage princess who must flee and go into a top-secret protection program.
- “Hatching Pete” starring Jason Dolley and Mitchell Musso, which is about a shy high school student who’s struggling to be noticed. He fills in for a friend as school mascot, and while in costume becomes a star.
I’d say all of us Disney Channel fans have a lot to look forward to! When I get definite release dates for these movies I will let you know.
