It’s a new song from “Hannah Montana: The Movie”! The song is called “Back to Tennessee” and it’s performed by Billy Ray Cyrus. The movie soundtrack drops on March 24th and the movie hits theaters on April 10, 2009.

Miley Cyrus chatted about the movie at the 2009 Oscars. She said she hopes to be at the Oscars next year receiving something for this movie.

“I can’t wait and hopefully I’ll be here next year getting something for it. I would love to, cause it’s really cool. Definitely it’s a lot more real and a lot deeper than people would expect for the movie to be.”

Miley Cyrus‘ little sis, Noah Cyrus, stole the show last night at Nashville Star. She took the stage to introduce her dad Billy Ray Cyrus who is the host of the show. Noah was definitely a natural and did the job perfectly! She is following in her sister’s footsteps!

The Cyrus clan - Trace, Brandi, Billy Ray, Noah and mom Leticia - all closed the show. Miley Cyrus was noticeably absent. I wonder where she was?

Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus teamed up quite awhile ago at the Colgate Country Showdown and sang “Holding on to a Dream“. This is a video clip of Miley that I’ve never seen. She looks SO young!

Yesterday, Billy Ray and Miley made a surprise visit to Nashville area skate festival and performed in honor of Alex LaVasseur, the late son of songwriter Jeffrey Steele. LaVasseur was only 13 and was killed in an ATV accident last year. I haven’t found any video clips yet, but if I do, I’ll post them here!

This is the video clip I was telling you about! Billy Ray Cyrus was on the Today Show today and he chatted with Meredith Vieira about the Vanity Fair photo with his daughter Miley Cyrus. They also talk about the new reality show he is hosting “Nashville Star”

Miley has a great dad. I can see why they are so close.

I am still waiting on a video clip, but Billy Ray Cyrus was on the Today Show and he opened up about the Vanity Fair photo shoot with his daughter Miley Cyrus. I have been wondering what Miley’s parents reaction was and Billy Ray tells us how surprised he was at what happened.

“I didn’t know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket.” He told America’s The Today Show: “I was surprised when I saw [the topless shot] but, hey, that’s life. Stuff happens.”

He sounds a bit more laid back about it than I expected, but he has had awhile to think about it. I still believe it wasn’t Miley’s fault and that she shouldn’t be blamed for the Vanity Fair thing. She was following the direction of a very famous photographer who was supposed to know what she was doing.

Anyway, enough about that. When I get my hands on the video clip I will post it because Billy Ray also talks about several others things.

E! Online is reporting that there was an accident on the set of the Hannah Montana movie. During the filming today, wind blew a projection screen into a ferris wheel full of passengers, which were extras for the movie. Thankfully, there are no serious injuries.

“When the wind caught it, all the cables were loose. It started [flying],” extra Brenda Blackford told Nashville station WKRN-TV. “I was watching to see which corner of it was gonna hit the Ferris wheel, because it was unavoidable.”

Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray were not on the set when the accident happened.

Here’s the official statement from Disney:

“During a break in the filming of Hannah Montana: The Movie, a minor accident occurred involving a piece of production equipment Fortunately, there were only a few minor injuries. Medical personnel have treated the extras and crew involved. None of the cast was on the set. Filming has resumed.”

Wow, that could have been a lot worse! I am glad no one was seriously injured. Miley needs no more drama in her life right now!!
