Movie Monday is a day late! Anyway, here we go…

At the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, Vanessa Hudgens talked about how excited she is for her role in the upcoming flick “Sucker Punch”. She comments about how she gets to be in an action flick sooner than people expected her to be and how she would love to turn the role in an Angelina Jolie kind of character.

“I’m so stoked about it. I kept telling everyone, ‘I want to do an action film.’ But they were like, ‘Maybe in a few years.’ So I’m like, ‘Ha, in your face. I am doing one now!’”

Vanessa’s boyfriend Zac Efron commented on how he would like to be in the movie with Vanessa, but how that might not work out.

“I think it’s an all-girl movie. But if there’s any way to be in that film, I’d do it. I’d play a girl if I had to.”

I am looking forward to seeing Vanessa in an action film. We get to see what this girl can bring to the screen!

Vanessa Hudgens walked the red carpet at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards and she looked amazing in her orange dress. Zac and Vanessa didn’t walk the carpet together and fans were starting to wonder on twitter what was going on. But no worries, they were sitting next to each other and holding hands during the show.

Vanessa was nominated for “Best Female Breakout Performance” and “Best Kiss” but didn’t win either award. That’s okay V! Her and funnyman Jonah Hill presented and award together and he said he almost landed the role of Troy Bolton in HSM. LOL! In his dreams! More pictures below. Read more

Vanessa Hudgens became a huge star with the help of the “High School Musical” franchise. Her and boyfriend Zac Efron are the golden couple of Disney. What is Vanessa up to these days? Still making movies! On August 14th, her newest flick “Bandlsam” is coming to theaters.

Disney Channel superstars Vanessa Anne Hudgens (“High School Musical 1 & 2,” High School Musical 3) and Alyson Michalka (“Phil of the Future,” pop duo Aly and AJ) join Gaelan Connell (Chocolat), Scott Porter (Speed Racer) and Lisa Kudrow (“Friends”) in the music-driven comedy BANDSLAM. When gifted singer-songwriter Charlotte Banks (Michalka) asks new kid in town Will Burton (Connell) to manage her fledgling rock band, she appears to have just one goal in mind: go head-to-head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend, Ben (Porter), at the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands. Against all odds, their band develops a sound all its own with a real shot at success in the contest. Meanwhile, romance brews between Will and Sa5m (Hudgens), who plays a mean guitar and has a voice to die for. When disaster strikes, it’s time for the band to make a choice: Do they admit defeat, or face the music and stand up for what they believe in?

Vanessa is also rumored to be starring in Beastly and Sucker Punch. More on those films as the projects develop later!

Every girl needs a bright red hat with wings right? Okay, maybe not-so-much, but Vanessa Hudgens showed her comedic side as her and boyfriend Zac Efron walked through the LAX airport today (May 22).

Vanessa was wearing a Dr. Slump “Arale” cap. Why? Who the heck knows! And where can you get one of these? Ebay of course! Vanessa continued to have some fun as she filmed the paparazzi, who were filming her. Zac on the other hand, doesn’t look very amused. Check out how long his hair is getting! More photos below.

Disney starlets Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens attended the LG Rumorous Night with Heidi Klum last night (April 28) at the Andaz hotel in West Hollywood.

The girls both looked gorgeous in their blue dresses and strappy black shoes.

Ashley and Vanessa’s careers seem to be going really well. Ashley still does the voice of Candace for “Phineas and Ferb”. She also has a new album “Guilty Pleasure” coming out in June, a new movie coming to the big screen “They Came From Upstairs” and a new man in her life.

Vanessa is starring in “Bandslam”, which is coming out in August and is also lined up to star in “Beastly” and “Sucker Punch”. No Disney projects are in the works for her!

Vanessa Hudgens arrived at LAX yesterday (April 13) and while waiting for her bags, she signs a few autographs for fans.

Vanessa has received an MTV Movie Awards nomination for her role in “High School Musical 3”. Where can we see Vanessa next? In an entirely different role in the teen musical comedy “Bandslam”.

The HSM star chatted with MTV about her new role.

"I didn’t think it would be this much music when I came here," she told MTV News on the set of "Bandslam" in Austin, Texas, last year. "And they are like, ‘We are going to have two weeks of music rehearsals,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ But it was really cool. It’s definitely not the kind of music I do normally.

"It’s more rock and actually I play guitar in it, and I had to learn and I was really nervous because I didn’t want to look stupid," she said about having to learn to play an instrument for the film. "But I think I pulled it off — I’m keeping my fingers crossed."

• You can see Vanessa Hudgens in the upcoming movie “Bandslam”. She is also set to star in "Sucker Punch”.
