]]> What a great show yesterday for Bonnie Hunt! She had Disney Channel stars Chelsea Staub, Sterling Knight, Mitchel Musso and Moises Arias on for “Yo Gabba Gabba!”. It was a kids only show and it was a good one. I am a big fan of Bonnie Hunt.

Mitchel Musso performed his hit single “Shout It” and JONAS star Chelsea Staub answered the question everyone has been dying to know…Are the Jonas Brothers breaking up. Well, are they?

She said, “We’re growing up and I think Nick wants to try something new and try something on his own and become a more independent. I know he has Kevin and Joe’s full support and don’t worry, the Jonas Brothers as a unit aren’t going anywhere. We still get many more concerts and albums from them.”

]]> Sterling Knight We mentioned last week that Cody Linley (Hannah Montana’s Jake Ryan) would be starring in a new Disney Channel Original Movie entitled “Starstruck”, but now it looks like that information was wrong! According to a press release released by Disney, the movie will star Sterling Knight!

(Update: Disney sources have told us that Cody Linley was replaced by Sterling Knight because of scheduling issues. Cody will be taking to the stage in a Broadway play called “Over Here”. Congrats Cody!!)

Production has begun on “Starstruck,” a music-filled Disney Channel Original Movie starring Sterling Knight (”Sonny With A Chance”) and introducing Danielle Campbell. Slated to premiere in 2010, the movie is filming in and around Los Angeles at landmark locations including Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard, the Hollywood Sign, Grauman’s Chinese Theater and the Venice Boardwalk.

The story follows Jessica Olson (played by Campbell), a down-to-earth girl from the Midwest who collides (literally) with Hollywood’s teen heartthrob, pop star Christopher Wilder (played by Knight). They wind up on a love-struck adventure in Southern California, but their bond is tested when she returns home and he publicly denies their relationship.

Also starring are Brandon Mychal Smith (”Sonny With A Chance”) as Stubby, Christopher’s childhood best friend; Maggie Castle (”The Time Traveler’s Wife”) as Sara Olson, Jessica’s older, star struck sister; and Dan O’Connor (”Malcolm in the Middle”) and Beth Littleford (Disney XD’s upcoming “I’m in the Band”, “Rules of Engagement”) as Dean and Barbara Olson, Jessica and Sara’s parents.

Knight and Smith have become familiar faces to Disney Channel fans since the debut of their hit series “Sonny With A Chance.” Since its February 2009 premiere, “Sonny With A Chance” is TV’s No. 1 program in its Sunday 8:00 p.m. time period in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, and ranks among TV’s Top 5 programs overall in the target demos.

The movie’s soundtrack will feature songs written by songwriters Mitch Allan, Jessi Alexander, Adam Anders, Aris Aronchitis, Peer Astrom, Ali Dee, Andy Dodd, Nikki Hassman, Jeannie Lurie, Niclas Molinder, Chen Neeman, Joacim Persson and Adam Watts.

]]> Some of the Sonny with a Chance cast attended Disney Channel’s “Summer Soiree – The Magic of Mentoring” event in Beverly Hills last night (July 24). Allisyn Arm, Sterling Knight and Tiffany Thornton all showed up to support the event. We know why Demi Lovato couldn’t make it. She’d a tad bit busy with her tour!

The President of Disney Channels Worldwide, Rich Ross, was honored at the event. The charity fundraiser for the Los Angeles Team Mentoring, provides disadvantaged middle school kids with a mentor. It really is a great program! It’s great to see the Disney Channel and some of the stars supporting such a great cause.

]]> “Sonny with a Chance” star Sterling Knight revealed to Popstar! what his worst job ever was. What could it be? Definitely NOT working with Demi Lovato!

His worst job was working construction. Really? I can’t see Sterling Knight working construction, can you?

Popstar! then asked him if he wasn’t an actor, what would he do. He said probably be a doctor, doing nose jobs for people that have been in a car crash.

]]> High School Musical 3: Senior Year Los Angeles Premiere

Have you heard of Sterling Knight? He’s the blue eyed cutie that appears in “17 Again” with Zac Efron and will also be in the upcoming Disney Channel series “Sonny With a Chance”. He is definitely starting to gain quite the following of female fans.

He was recently at the High School Musical 3 premiere in Los Angeles and a fan got him on video. Another fan was at a taping of “Sonny With a Chance” and she gave Sterling a picture she drew of him. His reaction was pretty cute. Thanks to Jennifer and Ali for the videos!!
