Members of the High School Musical cast and crew expressed their regrets over his passing.

Ashley Tisdale wrote on Twitter, “So sad. Saying a prayer for Michael Jackson. I have to say, the 6 of us from HSM were very lucky to have met such an amazing man. I will remember that moment forever. RIP Michael.”

Monique Coleman tweeted, “so many tears for MJ.”

And Kenny Ortega, who was set to direct Michael Jackson’s comeback tour, updated his personal website saying, “Michael was a dear friend and a consummate professional. This was the most exciting collaboration of my life with a man who has inspired me like no other.

This was the world’s greatest performer and the world will miss him. My heart goes out to his family and fans.”

She said, “Since High School Musical 3, I’ve been actually out there in the world talking to a lot of young people, finding out what they’re interested in and so on. I’m a little bit older than I think people think, so I am really looking for a role that’s going to challenge me and move a little in a different direction. And in the meantime, I’ve just been being myself and working on a book. It’s called ‘From Ramen Noodles to the Red Carpet: A Guide to Becoming Who You Are Without Forgetting Who You Were’.”

The “High School Musical” star has been staying busy attending events and will star in a new movie coming out in 2010. More info about that coming soon! She also appeared in one episode of “Bones” as Becca Hedgepeth.

It seems like forever since we have seen Monique Coleman. I think she only attended the Hollywood premiere of “High School Musical 3″ and since then, I haven’t seen her around, until now.

Monique attended the Candlelight Processional at the Epcot Center at Walt Disney World. She recited part of the Christmas Story and also gave the audience a special holiday message. See what she has to say below.

On October 16th, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman walked the red carpet in style at the High School Musical 3 Los Angeles premiere. The co-stars held onto each other tightly as they posed for photographs. Corbin and Monique have a great scene in the cafeteria in HSM3. I am looking forward to seeing the entire movie on October 24th!

High School Musical 3 star Monique Coleman is looking absolutely gorgeous at the premiere of MTV’s “The American Mall”. That white dress looks like it was made for her and she is looking better than ever! I read somewhere that she is training for a marathon, or something like that. She’s doing something right, that’s for sure!

We have some more information about the highly anticipated “High School Musical 3:Senior Year“. The article (from USAToday) tells us that school is out for good for the 6 principal players in the movie. Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Geabeel, Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman have officially finished filming.

A banner which said “Congratulations Wildcats: Back to Back Champions!” greeted the students as they headed back to school. Now that the film is over, Troy Bolton’s basketball jersey has been retired and hangs in the gym next to his father’s and his best friend Chad. High School is officially over.

There have been no numbers released yet for how much it took to make HSM3 happen, but I am sure we will hear those shortly. The first film was shot for $4.2 million and the second $7.8 million. For the third film, the sets were still kept simple including a fantasy scene made out of paper palm trees and flames. That’s high school for you!

Commenting about the set, Kenny Ortega explains, “We always try to keep a naiveté. There is more scale and detail in High School Musical 3, but it’s still our world — young people wishing and aspiring.”

The film was shot in only 45 days, which required some very long shoots, as long as 18 hours. There were no complaints from the stars though and to beat the heat, they have been hanging out in a inflatable kiddie pool outside Efron and Hudgens’ trailer or in Tisdale’s trailer, where the big draw is Guitar Hero on her Wii — a particular favorite of Efron’s.

Zac Efron was the last star to sign on to the third film and many believe that it was because he was negotiating a huge movie star paycheck. Efron says that’s not so. “High School Musical has always been a blast to work on since Day 1,” he says. “I just didn’t know if a third one would work. When the script came in, I thought it was very well done, and it was an easy yes.”

As far as keeping this Disney movie G-rated, Ortega said that was a bit of a challenge. Zac and Vanessa have amazing chemistry on and off screen and it shows. “I’m such a hopeless romantic,” she says. “You can feel the emotions Gabriella has for Troy. Zac and I have done three movies together now, and we can basically do anything in front of each other. We’re so comfortable, we’re not afraid to take chances.”

High School Musical’s Monique Coleman, who plays Taylor, will make an appearance on “Million Dollar Password“. The CBS show premiere had good ratings, so they have revised the guest line-up and Coleman was one of them!

You can see her on “Million Dollar Password” July 6th, along with Damien Fahey of MTV’s “TRL.” Check your local listing for the show’s air time.
