Oh my goodness! It’s new posters from “High School Musical 3!” posters. They feature your favorite main stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel.

Here are some HSM3 dates to remember that I know I have talked about a hundred times, lol:

• August 8: Debut of High School Musical, a new song
• October 21st: High School Musical Soundtrack release
• October 24th: The day THE movie HSM3 is released in theaters nationwide!

We have some more information about the highly anticipated “High School Musical 3:Senior Year“. The article (from USAToday) tells us that school is out for good for the 6 principal players in the movie. Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Geabeel, Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman have officially finished filming.

A banner which said “Congratulations Wildcats: Back to Back Champions!” greeted the students as they headed back to school. Now that the film is over, Troy Bolton’s basketball jersey has been retired and hangs in the gym next to his father’s and his best friend Chad. High School is officially over.

There have been no numbers released yet for how much it took to make HSM3 happen, but I am sure we will hear those shortly. The first film was shot for $4.2 million and the second $7.8 million. For the third film, the sets were still kept simple including a fantasy scene made out of paper palm trees and flames. That’s high school for you!

Commenting about the set, Kenny Ortega explains, “We always try to keep a naiveté. There is more scale and detail in High School Musical 3, but it’s still our world — young people wishing and aspiring.”

The film was shot in only 45 days, which required some very long shoots, as long as 18 hours. There were no complaints from the stars though and to beat the heat, they have been hanging out in a inflatable kiddie pool outside Efron and Hudgens’ trailer or in Tisdale’s trailer, where the big draw is Guitar Hero on her Wii — a particular favorite of Efron’s.

Zac Efron was the last star to sign on to the third film and many believe that it was because he was negotiating a huge movie star paycheck. Efron says that’s not so. “High School Musical has always been a blast to work on since Day 1,” he says. “I just didn’t know if a third one would work. When the script came in, I thought it was very well done, and it was an easy yes.”

As far as keeping this Disney movie G-rated, Ortega said that was a bit of a challenge. Zac and Vanessa have amazing chemistry on and off screen and it shows. “I’m such a hopeless romantic,” she says. “You can feel the emotions Gabriella has for Troy. Zac and I have done three movies together now, and we can basically do anything in front of each other. We’re so comfortable, we’re not afraid to take chances.”

Remember the fun and catchy “Bop to the Top” song that Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel sang in High School Musical? Every time I listen to this song or watch Ryan and Sharpay doing their thing, the song gets stuck in my head!

This is a video clip of Ashley and Lucas practicing this song. I wonder what they are cooking up for High School Musical 3! I love Ashley’s socks, lol.

Oh that Perez Hilton…trying to cause controversy!! Here is an interview from 2007 with Perez and the High School Musical gang. He talks about Monique’s wild blue eye shadow, how Zac Efron loves to wear makeup and then he asked Ashley Tisdale if she is going to steal him from Vanessa Hudgens.

My favorite quote is “I did it to match your hair,” by Monique Coleman. LOL.

Oh my goodness this is a great video!! Extra went behind the scenes of “High School Musical 3″. Extra was in the gym at East High and there were TONS of people in that gym. They talked about the intense dance numbers and also how Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens made Maxim’s Hot 100 list.

Tanika asked Zac how he felt about people looking at his girl like that and he said, “I’m proud, she deserves it“. Aw, now that is sweet. She then asked Vanessa how it felt and she said she was flattered and that Zac has girl’s screaming for him all the time! Now he knows how she feels.

5 more months everyone! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Okay, so I just got through watching the “Behind the Scenes of High School Musical 3″ on Good Morning America segment. (I am still waiting for the second part of the clip. Watch the first part here.) Here is what I have learned about the movie (some things we already knew):

• There is a dance number in the cafeteria with 500 people! Huge!!
• The movie starts where it left off, in the gym.
• There are 14 dance numbers.
• Corbin Bleu and Zac Efron have their first number together.
• Gabriella and Troy will have to make a major life decision.
• There is a scene that is said to be amazing in the cafeteria with Sharpay and Ryan.
• Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel auditioned together and Ashley gave him auditioning tips. They also fight like brother and sister in real life.
• The dance numbers are extremely intense.
• When Zac Efron first got to the set he called his mom and said he felt like he was on vacation.

That’s all I can remember for now. More to come…..

Now this is some very exciting news!! The cast of High School Musical 3 will be on Good Morning America tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20th. Woohoo! I’ll be tuning in to watch. Vanessa Hudgens was too cute doing her little screaming thing.

I love this video!! It’s a behind the scenes look at the first “High School Musical” movie with none other than, HSM cutie Zac Efron. He starts off asking his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens what she’s up to today and they look so cute together. He also does short takes of Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel and Ashley Tisdale.

Zac also mentions that the coolest thing about doing a movie is….he gets his own chair, which he shows us. And he says that no one can sit in his chair or take it away from him. Then Lucas comes up and sits in his chair, lol!

It’s so weird to look back on these stars when the HSM franchise was just beginning. I imagine they had NO idea how big it would be today and what a phenomenon it would be.
