Throughout the weeks leading up to the film, I will have bits of information to share with you including how they casted the movie, about Motocross and also information about the different stars. Today, here’s the reason why Corbin was drawn to the film!

Corbin Bleu was instantly drawn to the story because it deals with issues that every person, regardless of his/her stage in life, wrestles with – especially young people. “I think Cale’s journey is so real and it’s one that so many people go through,” Bleu continues. “They work hard, they have so much talent and good intentions, but they never seem to get that shot, that opportunity. This is a great story about always being prepared for and ready to embark on life changing opportunities.  You’ve got to keep working towards what you want.  When that window comes around, when opportunity knocks, you better be ready for it because second chances are rare.”

As Bleu crisscrossed the country for his charity work, he became very aware of the dilemma of kids today who have no male role model to whom they can look up. “There are a lot of kids that grow up with only one parent, sometimes no parents, so for young guys, it’s so tough when you don’t have that father figure in your life, that person who kind of takes you into manhood. Cale doesn’t have a man like that in his life.  He grew up with his mom and sister, so he’s the man of the house. He’s had to take on that responsibility of providing for a family – so there’s a huge unresolved issue about his father that dogs him and is always there in the background. He hasn’t had the choice of taking on responsibility. He’s a guy that works two jobs to help out his Mom while trying to pursue and not give up on his dream of becoming a motocross pro-racer.”

Who did they present the award to? Their good friend and HSM co-star Zac Efron.

Zac won the award for his role in “17 Again”, which is one of my favorite films of the year.

Ashley looked amazing on the red carpet and shared a little smooch with boyfriend Scott Speer. The pictures of them are too cute. They definitely seem to be in love! Corbin looked handsome as he always does on the red carpet. The man knows how to dress classy, that is for sure.

What are these two Disney stars up to these days? Ashley had both an album, “Guilty Pleasure”, and a movie, “Aliens in the Attic” dropped in July. Corbin is starring on a new CW show called “The Beautiful Life”. Needless to say, these stars are staying busy. More pictures below!

On Monday, June 22d, Disney XD will present a “Night of Premieres” featuring new episodes of “Phineas and Ferb”, “Aaron Stone”, “The Spectacular Spider-Man”, “Zeke and Luther” and “Next X”.

Corbin will voice Coltrane, a friend of Jeremy’s. Here’s more about each episode:

“The Spectacular Spider-Man” (7:00 p.m., ET/PT) – In the season premiere, “Blueprints,” Peter wants to talk to Gwen about their first kiss, but before he gets the chance, Spider-Man has a run-in with the sorcerer Mysterio. Following in the additional brand-new episode, “Destructive Testing,” Peter wrestles with his feelings for both Gwen and Liz, but in the meantime, Kraven the Hunter has arrived to make Spider-Man his prey. The parental guideline is TV-Y7-FV.

“Phineas and Ferb” (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) – In “Let’s Take a Quiz,” Phineas and Ferb produce their own TV game show, and Candace uses the opportunity to get herself on the airwaves, to the surprise of Jeremy and his friend, Coltrane (voiced by Corbin Bleu). Following in “At the Car Wash,” Phineas and Ferb help Isabella and the Fireside Girls meet their car wash fundraising goals by building the world’s most elaborate automatic car wash. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz has a device to make everything bigger, and he starts by making mountains out of molehills. The parental guideline is TV-G.

“Zeke and Luther” (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) – In “Donut Jockey,” Zeke and Luther take jobs delivering donuts to earn money for skateboard repairs, but Luther gets into trouble and must find a way to resolve the situation without Zeke’s help. Meanwhile, one of Zeke’s customers develops a crush on him. The parental guideline is TV-Y7.

“Next X” (8:58 p.m., ET/PT)
In this reality sports series developed by Disney XD in association with ESPN, five of the world’s top professional action sports athletes mentor promising young amateurs in their chosen sport, showing them how to crank up the action, hone their technical tricks and skills and to go “big time,” imagining, learning and growing to be the next action sports superstar. Eight short form episodes culminate with a half-hour special in August. The parental guideline is TV G.

“Aaron Stone” (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) – In “Xero Control,” Xero captures the world’s most feared fighter, World Champion Billy “The Body Bag” Cobb (Chris Jericho), to learn the moves necessary to program his combat suit. Aaron Stone is enlisted to rescue Billy Cobb and destroy the combat suit. The parental guideline is TV-Y7-FV.

Hayleigh and William Hittle of Nora Springs, Iowa are the grand prize winners of the Sara Lee Soft & Smooth and Disney’s “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” Sweepstakes.  Kids all over the country entered the sweepstakes at www.thejoyofeating.com for their chance to win $5,000 worth of lunchtime groceries, a screening of HSM3, lunch served by Corbin, AND the tile of “Honorary Wildcat” for the day.

Before Bleu helped serve lunch (made with Sara Lee Soft & Smooth Bread) he talked with everyone about how important it is to eat whole grains.  During the event, the Hittle family was given their check for $5,000 to keep making healthy lunches.

Moments That Matter – Official Video Premiere

The HSM star said that he wanted to write a song that was sentimental about friends and family. His newest album “Speed of Light” dropped on March 10th and I am hearing some great reviews about the CD.

So, what’s up next for Corbin? It’s been reported that he has joined the CW’s “A Beautiful Life”, which means he is making a transition into the adult genre. Chad Danforth is growing up! Corbin will be playing a Lenny Kravitz type model. The show chronicles the life of models living the life in New York. Yep, definitely a different role for Mr. Bleu.

“High School Musical” star Corbin Bleu was on the Today Show today (March 12). His second solo CD called “Speed of Light” dropped on March 10th and he was on the show to talk about it.

Today show host Anne Curry asked Corbin where all of his perfectionism and push is taking him.

He said, “Everything just continues to move forward, especially in music and art and film career. High School Musical was obviously great to be apart of all three. It was a major blessing to have been involved.”
