“Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” on DVD & Blu-ray June 30th
April 28, 2009 by Julie Bonner
On June 30th, “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” is coming to Blu-ray and DVD. If you didn’t get a chance to see it in the theater, here’s your chance to see what it was all about.
The DVD will include both a 2D and 3D viewing option. Here’s Amazon.com’s description of the film:
The excitement of seeing the Jonas Brothers live in concert is hard to beat, but this digital 3-D concert presentation is the next best thing to being there. Basically a collection of highlights from the Burnin’ Up concert tour, the film features live concert footage of hit songs including "That’s Just the Way We Roll," "Gotta Find You, "Video Girl," "S.O.S," and "Burnin’ Up" with pyrotechnics, water effects, and the occasional questionable harmony and out-of-breath lyric.
JB3D Movie Still Not Doing Great at the Box Office
March 9, 2009 by Julie Bonner
The Jonas Brothers movie, “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” is still not doing as good as hoped at the box office.
The movie is down 78% from its opening weekend, which brought in $12.7 million.
This past weekend, it only brought in $2.8 million.
Wow, that stinks, but I am fairly certain the Jonas Brothers will be just fine. I am also pretty sure that the $15 ticket price had something to do with this. I talked to many people who said they couldn’t afford to go, and they are just going to have to wait for the DVD.
No worries though. Kevin, Joe and Nick have their world tour coming up (they’ll announce the dates and places on March 11th) and they have their Disney Channel series “JONAS” coming in May.
Are you surprised that their movie didn’t do so well?

Jonas Brothers Las Vegas Visit
March 2, 2009 by Julie Bonner
The Jonas Brothers landed in Las Vegas yesterday (March 1) on their private jet and were greeted by throngs of fans. Kevin, Joe and Nick are traveling the United States surprising fans at different theater locations, where their movie “Jonas Brothers:The 3D Concert Experience” is being shown.
They have visited theaters in California, Georgia, Texas and now Nevada. I bet they are wiped out, but what a fun trip for them to be able to do something like this for some fans.
On Sunday morning, the Jonas Brothers updated their MySpace blog:
“It is Sunday morning here in the US and our first stop today was in Austin, Texas. We just left the theater and it was something we will never forget. We were so excited to visit this awesome city since it has such a great music community. The reaction here was incredible. The audience seemed very thankful that we chose to come here which was so exciting for us.”
As far as weekend box office numbers go for the JB3D movie, it didn’t do quite as well as everyone was hoping, but considering the economy right now, it did well. It came in at number 2 grossing $12.7 million for the weekend. Who came in at number 1? “Madea Goes to Jail” grossed $16.5 million.

“Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” Review
February 28, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Okay, so I went and saw “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” movie last night and let me just say… I loved it!
It was so much fun to have a small look into the Jonas Brothers’ lives and what a full day can look like for them. There was one day when they were woken up at 4:30 am by Big Rob. That’s early! But hey, if Big Rob told ME to get out of bed at 4:30, I’d listen.
The best parts of the movie were the concert clips. It is a concert movie after all. Those boys have some serious energy when they are performing and it makes you feel alive! I wanted to jump into that movie screen, get up on stage with them, grab a microphone and shout out some “Burnin’ Up”!
I had heard over and over again that by seeing this movie, we were getting the best seats in the house for one of their concerts and that we would feel like we were there. Guess what? Totally true. You do feel like you’re apart of the crowd and it was great.
There were several parts of the movie that stuck out to me and that I loved the most. One of them was when Joe and Kevin beat on some drums that had water on top of them. The water was spraying them and since it was in 3D, it looked like it was spraying us too. Awesome, just awesome.
I also loved the scene in Central Park when they sang “Love is on Its Way”. It’s a great song, the video was fantastic and seeing Nick Jonas sitting at a white piano had several girls in the theater screaming.
Overall, the movie was absolutely as good as I hoped it would be. I knew it would be, because when I went and saw the Best of Both Worlds 3D Concert movie and the Jonas Brothers came out and sang and then they left, I wanted more! I love Miley Cyrus and her music, but those 3 boys together on stage is definitely something to watch and enjoy.
Kudos to Kevin, Joe, Nick, and everyone else who contributed to this movie. It was a job well done!
Have you seen the movie? Don’t plan on seeing it? Let me know in the poll below.

Jonas Brothers “Good Morning America” Interview
February 28, 2009 by Julie Bonner
The Jonas Brothers were on “Good Morning America” this morning, February 28th. They were in a secret location, which we now know was the AMC Loews Palisades Center 21 in New York.
Anchor Kate Snow said, “No one has found you yet, as we have been on the air this morning? There are no screaming fans?”
Nick Jonas responded with, “No one has found us yet. It is an undisclosed location, in Somewhere, USA, as we saw earlier.”
She then asked them what they are doing and why they are keeping it so secretive.
Kevin Jonas said, “Well, we are doing some amazing things. We have joined partners with Marquis Jet and NetJets. Without them, we couldn’t so this. But we are flying around the country and actually stopping in and saying hi to fans who are actually going to see the movie this weekend and you know, saying hello and just surprising them.”
