More than 45,000 dolls have sold in less than a month with 17,000 selling last week alone. At one major retailer, The Princess and the Frog bedding has sold nearly triple the amount of regular Disney Princess bedding. At Disney Store locations nationwide …read more

Disneynature’s “Oceans” Extended Trailer

I absolutely LOVED Disneynature’s “Earth” movie and their next one looks like it will not disappoint either. Walt Disney Studios has released the extended trailer for “Oceans”, a film that boldly chronicles the mysteries that lie beneath. I posted a few pictures from this new movie here.
Disneynature, the studio that presented the record-breaking film “Earth,” brings OCEANS to the big screen on Earth Day, 2010.  Nearly three-quarters of the Earth’s surface is covered by water and OCEANS boldly chronicles the mysteries that lie beneath.  Directors Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud dive deep into the very waters that sustain all …read more

Johnny Depp to Receive $35 Million for “Pirates 4”

WOW! Johnny Depp has catapulted himself to the number one spot of Hollywood’s highest paid actors. He has officially signed on for “Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides” for a guaranteed minimum of $35 million.

Now, that’s a guaranteed $35 million. If the film does really well at the box office (which is will…I mean come on!), then he could earn even more than that. This deal has put Depp above other high paid actors such as Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise who all receive high salaries, but not $35 million!
Why did and could Disney agree to …read more

“20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” Movie on Hold Indefinitely with McG

According to the MTV movies blog, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” has been put on hold indefinitely with McG. Why? Well, the movie was under the regime of Dick Cook and now that he is gone from Disney, the movie has been put aside. Was it because of his departure? Most likely.
This does not mean that Disney doesn’t still have plans for the movie, it just won’t be done with McG. Variety is saying that the film still has priority with new chief Rich Ross. The film was rumored to begin filming in February, but the fact that they …read more

Disney Channel Auditions has announced the audition information for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Den Brother”. The TV movie is currently in pre-production and all roles, starring and supporting, are being cast.
According to IMDB, the film is about a high school hockey player forced to lead his sister’s Girl Guide troop. I am sure Disney will choose current Disney stars to play the lead roles, but that shouldn’t stop you from going after those supporting roles!
If you could pick a lead character for the hockey player and his sister, which two Disney stars would you pick? I …read more
