Escape & Return to Witch Mountain on DVD March 10th
March 9, 2009 by Julie Bonner
“Race to Witch Mountain” is coming to theaters on March 13th. I am so excited for this film and will be seeing it on opening night, so I’ll have a review for you the next day.
Just as this new movie is being released, the original films that launched the Witch Mountain saga, Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain, are returning to DVD in special new editions from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. You can get your copy on March 10, 2009.
Although these films are older than I am sure most of you are used to watching, I really think you might like them. They would be great for you to watch before you head to the theaters for the newest one. We watched both of these and just loved the story of these two kids.
Escape to Witch Mountain and Return from Witch Mountain are about two children who learned to use their magical powers. The first one was released in 1975, with the second following in 1978.

Zac And Vanessa to Portray Prince and Princess in Photoshoot
March 6, 2009 by Julie Bonner
“High School Musical” sweethearts Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens did a photoshoot with famous photographer Annie Leibovitz that I think we are all going to love.
In the shoot, they are portraying Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip from the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty. Wow! I can not wait to see these pictures!
JJ has said that he’s seen them and although there’s not any lip lock, he said it’s pretty close. I am not sure when the photos will come out, but hopefully soon.

Mary Poppins 45th Anniversary Edition on DVD
January 27, 2009 by Julie Bonner
“Mary Poppins” celebrates its 45th anniversary with a two-disc special edition DVD release. It’s filled with great bonus features and an all-new, exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the hit Broadway show.
Mary Poppins has always been one of my favorite Disney classic movies and I was so excited when Walt Disney Studios came out with this special edition copy. The movie is based on the popular children’s novels by P.L. Travers. Mary Poppins is a magical nanny who changes the lives of two little trouble makers, who managed to run all of their other nannies off.
The ground-breaking special effects and music won 5 Academy Awards. In 1965, Julie Andrews (who plays Mary Poppins) took home Best Actress.
This is a movie that touches both kids and adults a like. If you haven’t seen this movie, you have to!

Beauty and the Beast in 3D - Coming 2010
November 21, 2008 by Julie Bonner
I just heard on the radio that in 2010, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will be releasing ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 3D. Disney is all about 3D these days!
The film creators will be taking the original pictures from the film and creating a 3D movie out of them. It’s not an easy task, which is probably why we won’t see it until 2010.
‘Beauty and the Beast’ is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies. I love the story behind it and the fact that I could see this movie in 3D is very exciting. What do you all think about all these 3D movies? Is Disney going overboard, or is this really what audiences want?

Emily Osment Tells Us Her ‘Top Traits of a Prince’
October 14, 2008 by Julie Bonner
Image used with permission by Click-Comm
The Disney Channel caught up with Emily Osment, who sings One Upon a Dream for Sleeping Beauty, and asked her what her traits of a prince are. She said they need to be handsome (duh, can’t have an ugly prince!), be able to bust a move, sing (but not all that time, that would be annoying) and they need to know how to have fun. I think that’s a good list.
Although, I would like to add he needs to be tall, can make me laugh and doesn’t ask "How much did those shoes cost?".
What are YOUR traits of a prince? See what Emily Osment has to say in the video clips below.
