Here’s a video clip of PlayStation 2: Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Channel Edition. It looks like fun to me! It features music and characters from some of Disney Channel’s biggest sensations such as High School Musical, Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, That’s So Raven, Cheetah Girls, Kim Possible & more!

Is Disney Ready to Ax Kim Possible?

November 18, 2007 by Julie Bonner

kim-possible.jpgHow many of you would stand up and yell “No!” if Disney was about ready to give the series Kim Possible the ax? Well, there are rumors that they are about to do just that.

The Disney Channel is poised to ax the family-friendly animated series after a five-year, 87-episode run.

Disney Channel representatives refused to comment on the status of the show or the fan campaign, but this isn’t the first time viewers have come to Kim’s aid.

In 2005, viewers successfully pressured Disney to make 22 more episodes. Disney Channel’s policy is to end shows after 65 episodes.

The Boston Herald did a story on two people who will do whatever it takes to keep Kim Possible streaming on the air waves and into our homes.

But not if Robert Simom, 27, of Deer Creek, Ill., and Julius Toth, 38, of Toronto, have anything to say about it. The two are part of the the “Fight for Five . . . Save Kim Possible” online campaign at fightforkp.com.

“How many shows out there can you watch with your kids and at the same time be entertained yourself? I watch ‘Family Guy’ and ‘American Dad,’ but both shows have a rough edge to them,” said Toth, a vendor for McGregor socks.

I decided to go check out the Fight for KP website and here is a little bit about it:

Kim Possible, the last quality animated show on the Disney channel is on the verge of ending and being shelved on Disney’s dusty top forever.

In case you dont know, the online fan ‘kimmunity’ has managed to save the show before. Since then it has grown rapidly, with more sites, more members and more resources…evidence, that it’s worth saving again!

We’ve had ‘Save KP days’ each one escalating in success. From thousands of emails sent, to hundreds of letters, and even delivering bottles of ‘lather, rinse, obey’ shampoos. (a reference to one of the episodes).

Our resolve is stronger, our numbers are greater and we’re now confident that the chances of winning are greater than ever before. Each scheduled day we introduce a new instrument in an attempt to get the attention of the executives in the company.

All we ask is commitment from people who appreciate what quality animated shows are about, and are not willing to witness the last one existing on the Disney channel to be replaced by another slap-stick humour live-action show that costs less to budget than it does to air.

What is your opinion on Kim Possible? Would you be sad to see it go or would you wave goodbye without looking back? I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on this story.
