What Was Your Favorite 2008 DCOM?

Camp Rock was one of the most highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movies of 2008. The ratings were right up there with the High School Musical franchise and Camp Rock turned Demi Lovato into one of the most popular Disney stars of today. It also catapulted the Jonas Brothers’ career. Both Demi and the JBs have their own Disney Channel series coming out as a result!

Minutemen and The Cheetah Girls One World were the other two DCOMs of 2008.

Let me know which DCOM of 2008 was your favorite!

"The Cheetah Girls One World" Extended Music Edition DVD

December 17, 2008 by Julie Bonner

CheetahGirlsOneWorldDVDBoxart Yesterday, December 16th, was the release of “The Cheetah Girls One World: Extended Music Edition” on DVD and Blu-Ray. I saw the movie when it aired on the Disney Channel and had a chance to watch the DVD last week.

Although this wasn’t one of of my favorite Disney Channel Original Movies, I actually thought it was a good flick. I loved the fact that it was filmed in India and all the bright colors and authentic Indian costumes were brought to the movie.

111812_0449 The dance numbers were great. My favorite one is “Dance Me if You Can”. This DVD release is special, because it includes a never before seen music sequence. If you are a fan of the Cheetah Girls movie, I think you’ll like the extra dance scene.

Not only does the DVD include this extra dance number, but some bonus features:

Exclusive Music Sequence featuring “Feels Like Love”
Cheetah Spots – A fun new way to watch the movie with fascinating facts and pop-up trivia
Cheetah Girls Bloopers
Three Music Videos
Bollywood-style Glitter Tattoos!

The Cheetah Girls perform in concert in Miami

The Cheetah Girls may have been replaced at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and their group may be coming to an end, but they are still on their world tour!

On Thursday night, December 4th, in the windy city of Chicago, the gals continued their world tour. The Cheetah Girls looked fabulous up on stage. Their wardrobes are amazing.

Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan Injured Ankle on Stage

October 27, 2008 by Julie Bonner

Fashion from the Los Angeles premiere of Columbia Pictures 'The House Bunny'

Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan inured her ankle while on stage during “The Cheetah Girls: One World” world tour in Miami, Florida. She was unable to come back on stage to perform the finale number “One World”. Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams had to perform the number alone.

“The reason Sabrina didn’t come out for the last song is that she really hurt her ankle,” Bailon said during the number. “Please pray for her, guys.”

Let’s hope Sabrina heals quickly!

Update: The Cheetah Girls Wednesday 7 pm concert at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC has been canceled. Most likely due to Sabrina’s injury, although it has not been confirmed.

The Cheetah Girls are on tour promoting "The Cheetah Girls:One World" movie and soundtrack. The Disney Channel Original Movie was a big hit and brought in some surprising numbers, surprising to me anyway. Most viewers loved the movie and are already wondering when the next Cheetah Girls movie will come out. When I hear, I’ll let you know.

The tour started on October 8th in Austin, Texas and ends on December 21st in San Diego, California. A few dates have been canceled, due to unforeseen circumstances. You can see their full tour schedule here.

Would you pay money to go see The Cheetah Girls in concert? I am just wondering how popular they still are.

‘The Cheetah Girls One World’ Premiere at the El Capitan Theatre

The Cheetah Girls One World‘ Premiere was at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles yesterday, August 12th. Stars of the movie Sabrina Bryan, Kiely Williams and Adrienne Bailon looked stunning!

The Cheetah Girls One World is a Disney Channel Original Movie and it makes its Disney Channel debut on August 22, 2008. This is the third Cheetah Girls movie and previous star Raven-Symone is noticeably absent in this movie. But, I do believe the movie will do just fine with out Raven, although I would have loved to have seen her in it.

DCOMs have brought in tons of viewers in the past for movies like High School Musical, Camp Rock, Minutemen, Jump In…just to name a few. The Cheetah Girls One World is expected to bring in some big numbers as well.

There were TONS of stars who attended the movie and I will post pictures of them through out the day today. Let’s start with pictures of our Cheetah Girls. You can see the three beauties below! Read more
