When a tiny country is invaded by a dictator, a young Princess (Demi) is taken into custody by the Princess Protection Program. She is whisked away to rural Wisconsin where she must learn the ins and outs of behaving like a normal American teenager. In the process of adapting to her new life, Rosie gives her new friend and roommate, Carter (Selena), a few lessons in how to act like royalty!

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez chat with Access Hollywood about their hit movie, Princess Protection Program!

Selena talks about how the movie is mostly about friendship. “At first we kind of butt heads,” Selena reveals. “But you get to see our character arc and what we go through.”

As for the music video, Selena says it’s basically just she and Demi fooling around! “You get to see our real friendship during this music video.”

Selena also talks about how Disney is really good at reinventing princess stories and putting a unique twist to all of them.

The Princess Protection Program was rated as TV’s No. 1 entertainment Ttelecast of 2009 in
Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14!

The film also pulled in Cable’s Most-Watched Scripted Telecast in viewers.

Among the Disney Channel’s 76 original movie premieres, PPP ranked as the third most-watched debut, coming in third to June 2008’s ‘Camp Rock’ & August 2007’s ‘High School Musical 2.’

There was nearly 20 million unique viewers who watched the movie last night!

Radio Disney was on the set of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato’s “One in the Same” music video. The song will appear in their upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Princess Protection Program”.

PPP premieres on the Disney Channel June 26th and Selena and Demi will host three evenings dedicated to the movie. The premiere weekend will include a sneak peek at several upcoming events – a one-hour episode of “Hannah Montana;” a triple crossover episode entitled “Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana;” the Disney Channel Original Movie “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie;” and an exclusive first-look at the highly-anticipated Walt Disney Pictures animated movie, “The Princess and the Frog.”

Starting Friday, June 26th through Sunday, June 28th, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato will host three evenings dedicated to their new Disney Channel Original Movie “Princess Protection Program”.

The premiere weekend will include a sneak peek at several upcoming events – a one-hour episode of “Hannah Montana;” a triple crossover episode entitled “Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana;” the Disney Channel Original Movie “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie;” and an exclusive first-look at the highly-anticipated Walt Disney Pictures animated movie, “The Princess and the Frog.”

Also, on www.disneychannel.com, users will be able to unlock new episodes of “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Sonny With A Chance” during the “Princess Password Program” watch-and-unlock weekend event.

When I first heard about this, I thought it was a joke, but according to Nicolaus Braun, it’s not! Shia LaBeouf has a cameo in “Princess Protection Program”.

Nicolas tweeted today “1 month til Princess Protection Party is out on Disney Channel! June 26, 8p. Shia Laboeuf makes a cameo, so don’t miss it!!”

Shia LaBeouf is making a short return to the Disney Channel. You may remember him in the series Even Stevens, when he played Louis Stevens. The show was about “The misadventures of the Stevens family, an upper-middle class family in Sacramento, California.” Ah, I miss that show!

He also starred in the Walt Disney film “Holes”. What do you think about Shia being in “Princess Protection Program” AND do you think it’s for real?!

The time for the premiere of “Princess Protection Program” is getting nearer and nearer. On June 26th, we get to see real-life BFFs, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, in their new Disney Channel Original Movie. Another sneak peek has aired on the Disney Channel. Check it out!

In this new clip, Rosie ends up being quite the bowler. She keeps getting strike after strike.

When he [Carter’s dad] arrives back in Lake Monroe, both teenagers are shell-shocked when Rosie moves into Carter’s room and the princess, posing as Carter’s visiting cousin from Iowa, begins adjusting to country life and enrolls in Carter’s school. Despite their differences, the girls slowly learn that there’s not only a lot to like about each other, but lessons to learn as well. That’s apparent when Rosie nominates Carter for homecoming queen over the heated objections of two jealous rivals, Chelsea and Brooke. And with her newfound realization, Carter brainstorms a way to help her new best friend regain her throne, even if it puts her own well-being at risk.

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have teamed up for the Disney Channel Original Movie “Princess Protection Program”. The real life BFFs recorded a song and music video together for “One in the Same’. Here’s a sneak peek at their music video.

PPP is about when “royalty meets reality with Carter Mason, a rural Louisiana teen, and Rosalinda Marie Montoya Fiore, the soon-to-be teenage monarch of the tiny country of Costa Luna. The pair meets after Carter’s father, an agent in the covert international Princess Protection Program, rescues Rosalinda from a military take-over.  He whisks Rosalinda to a PPP base where she receives a temporary new identity, Rosie Gonzalez, and is placed in his care until order can be restored in Costa Luna.”
