Wizards and Hannah Montana Nominated for an Emmy

July 16, 2009 by Julie Bonner

The nominees for the 2009 Emmy Awards were announced this morning! I watched it on TV, did you? Two popular Disney Channel shows were nominated in the category “Outstanding Children’s Programs”.

“Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Hannah Montana” were both nominated. Congrats! There are only three shows in the running and the third is the popular Nickelodeon series iCarly.

These two shows aren’t the only Disney Channel series that were nominated. The lovable “Phineas and Ferb” was also nominated in the category “Outstanding Special Class – Short-format Animated Programs”. This show is up against the Nickelodeon series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Who do you think will win? Does iCarly have a chance up against these two huge Disney Channel series, which have a very large fan base?
