More About “Good Luck Charlie”, Production Begins in August

July 16, 2009 by Julie Bonner

JONAS- Bridgit-Mendler It was announced yesterday that Bridgit Mendler landed a role on a new Disney Channel series “Good Luck Charlie”. Ms. Mendler has made a guest appearance on “JONAS” and as I mentioned previously, we can also see her in the upcoming four-part “Wizards of Waverly Place” where she plays a vampire named Julie. (Julie, what a GREAT name. LOL.)

I have a little more information regarding the new show “Good Luck Charlie”. Check out when production starts, what newcomers will be introduced and more about the plot.

Production on the show will begin in August for a 2010 premiere on Disney Channels around the world.

Starring are Bridgit Mendler, a recurring guest star on Disney Channel’s "Wizards of Waverly Place" and guest star on "JONAS," as Teddy Holliday; Jason Dolley, known to Disney Channel viewers from his headlining roles in "Hatching Pete," "Minutemen" and "Cory in the House," as Casey Holliday; introducing Bradley Steven Perry as Gabe Holliday; Eric Allan Kramer ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "My Name Is Earl") as Bob Holliday; and Leigh Allyn Baker ("Will & Grace) as Amy Holliday.

The series follows two teenagers, Teddy and Casey Holliday, and their 10-year-old brother, Gabe, whose parents enlist their help when they return to work after the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte, aka Charlie. With their parents juggling full time careers, the older Holliday siblings pitch in, getting very familiar with baby formula, burp clothes and babysitting while navigating typical teenage life.

In each episode Teddy creates a personalized video diary for Charlie.  Each video will chronicle Teddy’s daily adventures and mishaps for Charlie to use as advice when her big sister is no longer living at home.

What do you think about this new show? Hit or miss?

This sounds super lame! I honestly don’t think it will do well. If it does, I will be the first to admit I was wrong. But I dont think that will happen!

  7. princesslilia says:

I have to agree! It doesn’t really seem the disney type. It sounds like an abc show or something. but, with THESE actors, i’m sure they’ll make it enjoyable! Then again, i could be wrong… we’ll have 2 wait and c!

  8. Hayley says:

That doesn’t seem like disney would do a show like this!

  9. Elliegal says:

idk if it’s just me but it sounds like disneys trying 2 do a show to discourage teen pregency without actually saying that… Like everyone will watch it and be like wow I’m never having kids. I don’t think a show like that will last on Disney.

  10. Analiese says:

i have to say this show plot sounds very lame but they can make the show good if they make funny characters and they can make it extremely funny like they have bring the baby to school and put it in the school lockers during classes and like the baby gets lost and they all panic and look for it in the funniest places like in a box or in the smallest wardrobes…

  11. Sydney says:

I can’t believe it!!! I know this show will only be on for at least 4 months.Cause this is just not Disney :( .boo who!!
