College Road Trip DVD Review
Last week I had the chance to review the College Road Trip
Raven-Symone and Martin Lawrence had great chemistry as father and daughter. Lawrence was awesome as the ultimate over-protective parent and Raven did a great job at being overwhelmingy annoyed by him. The two went through quite a lot together and in the end, Lawrence learned to let go a little and Raven was able to go to the college of her dreams.

Believe it or not though, my favorite actor in this movie was Donny Osmond. He had me laughing out loud and he did such an amazing job at playing, what might just be, the most annoying man in America!! Him and his way too happy daughter kept running into Martin and Raven’s character through out the movie and in the end, they ended up becoming great friends. This was Osmond’s first movie in many many years and I hope he continues to do more.
The little boy who played Raven’s brother, Eshaya Draper, was adorable and him and that pig stole the show! In watching the bonus features, I found out that they found this little boy from a audition video that he sent in. So, those of you who keep sending in videos for auditions, don’t give up! It is true that they find actors to fill movie roles from casting calls such as these. Send in those videos and resumes and you never know what might happen.
As far as the bonus features go for College Road Trip, I enjoyed them. I thought it was great that for the Double Dutch Bus video, Raven decided she wanted Donny Osmond in the video. When he asked what he was supposed to do, they said “Just dance!“, so that’s exactly what he did.
Raven did her own video diary on the set of the movie and she interviews all the actors. Kym Whitley, who plays Raven’s mom in the movie, is one funny lady!
If you are a Raven-Symone fan, you will enjoy this movie. If you are looking for a cute comedy to sit and enjoy with the whole family, I recommend College Road Trip. My family and I all watched it together and everyone enjoyed it, so it reaches a broad audience. Both kids and adults alike can find something in this movie to love.
