Jonas Brothers Casting Call - Not Searching for Real Fans, But SAG Members Who Can Play One?
Disney has put out a casting call for two teenage girls who are fans of the JBs for the Jonas Brothers 3D movie. Now, before you go and get excited, it seems they don’t want actual fans, but two girls who could act like they are a fan. What?!
The casting call asks for two teenage girls who are “younger, cute and attractive… sitting front and center at the Jonas Brothers concert, screaming, going nuts, blowing kisses and crying.”
They have a second listing which is also for a young, cute, attractive, etc girl who is a Super Fan. In her scene she is “giving a tour of her home, which is a shrine to the Jonas Brothers.”
What’s interesting to me is that they aren’t looking for some fans off the street who give their right arm to be in a Jonas Brothers movie, instead, they are looking for girls who are SAG members and who can do comedy improv and play the part of a fan. It’s also interesting that I am sure Disney can have a talent search and find some real fans, who would fit the part perfectly. I thought that this movie was a real life look into the Jonas Brothers lives.
Anyone else confused by this? I’ll keep an eye out for any more information about this. I personally think the movie should have REAL fans.

Mabe they don’t want a real fan because of the amount of peoplethe would wan tot audition. They have so many fans. So if they had someone who who was SAG trainedd then the number would go down by a lot. And they would get peole with experience.

This surprising and shocking!!! Disney could totally get REAL girls to play the part, and thing is that they wouldn’t be playing. I would totally get it if the Jonas brothers where on a sketch comedy tv show or making a cameo in a movie to have actors play crazy wild fans, but in there movie i think it would make the movie sooo much more REAL to have real fan girls. I kinda feel lied to that they are plaining to cast fake fans :( :(

That just makes me angry, it would be so much better if they got real fans to play the part, I know for a fact that my sister and I would be good for the showing our house thing my room is completely jonased out!!

This is totally not fair. I mean, why is it fair for 2 actresses to sit front row at a concert, and barely enjoy it, when there are thousands of girls who would do pretty much anything to get one ticket for the concert? Disney should really reconsider this.

there are actually plenty of young teens who are SAG actresses… and who knows…. maybe they will be huge fans as well…
i mean, they probably dont want a lot of people to be auditioning for this part… so this makes it a lot easier on them…

Hi, My name is Nicole I am 13 years old. I have blonde hair and blue eyes. I live in Canada and i would fly anywere in the world for my dream to come true, and that is, to show you my talent and become a Disney star. People tell me i should be in the show buisness as i am a character and can act very well and hopefully this could be my opportunity to show you what i can do.

They really inspired me a lot to make my own songs I play guitar/drums/sing and play the key board a little bit. I have written 4 of my own songs with music to go to it. I grew up playing music. my dad plays guitar/drums , my mom plays key board , and my brother plays drums. We all play together and rock out a lot in our studio in the basement. When I was younger I had a band we performed in front of maybe around 200-300 people. Atleast 4 times i got a gig, I was lead guitarst and I sung and im trying to get a band going now , its going along pretty good. Well anyways , I thought this would be a amazing experience for me to do again.

wow girls..chill out..they’re the jonas brothers..they probably want rich and pretty and hot and girly girls from hollywood. they wouldn’t pick girls like us.who are real fans but cant afford much…. and are not as pretty as teh hollywood girls..well..i’m just not spekaing for me..but there are so many girls like u all who really want dreams to come true..disney should consider giving middle class girls a chance to act and sing too..

Well im almost 15 in 3 1/2 months. I can totally act like a psycho obessessed fan for this movie. I’m good at improv and can pretty much go all out. If you want me to go over the top I will. I’m not really a big fan of JB, but they are adorable. I mean I went to a concert for frankie J and natalie, I had no idea who they were (true story)
and I acted like a huge fan and got Natalie to say I was pretty and she gave autographed my hand fan, that thing people pass oput when it’s hot. I still have the fan.

The easiest way to become a SAG member is to work as an extra on atleast 3 certified sag roles. Sometimes it takes years to become a SAG member, but you could be any age.

I don’t have info on casting calls and auditions, but a SAG member is the Screen Actors Guild (union). But you need to earn the spot by working on SAG jobs before you are able to become a SAG member. Also, You can’t be a SAG member without getting a SAG role and you can’t get a SAG role without being a SAG member. How do you become a SAG member??? Simply by being an extra on a SAG certified production. Extra’s are not required to have SAG membership.

Hey! i’m not a really huge fan, i just heard about the JB people on Tv and i just think their music is great and they help people and charities which is cool.
I’m not that much of a fan with the ‘omg a contest cool! I’ll pretend not to be a fan!’ I mean c’mon!

kids… you can’t just audition for Disney Movies. You need to submit a professional headshot and resume. If they like you, they will call you to audition. It’s not an open call audition. Don’t get your hopes up or you’ll just get disappointed. :)

just an FYI, Disney movies are filmed in other states. Even though the auditions are held in Los Angeles, HSM is in Salt Lake City, Utah, Miley Cyrus is in Nashville, Tennessee and Camp Rock is in Ontario, Canada. Make sure your parents are willing to travel before submitting your resume.

OMG this is amazing. You should pick me because I know everything about the Jonas Brothers. I am the BIGGEST fan. I cry over them because i want to meet them so bad. It stresses me out because I haven’t met them. They are my biggest inspiration besides Jesus Christ. I support them through anything. I always know where they are on tour. I am a very dedicated fan. I have been looking for auditions for disney channel. I have been wanting to act my whole life. I will be 14 years old in November. I can do cool flips. I can scream REALLY loud. I’m a cheerleader, so of course i can scream. Everytime I dream about the Jonas Brothers I wake up bawling because it wasn’t real..I pray to meet them everynight and day. I have 2 life goals. And they are to meet the Jonas Brothers and to become a successful ACTRESS. I have watched Camp Rock 105 times. I know every song and every word to that movie. I watch it for the Jonas Brothers. People think I am crazy because I am such a dedicated fan. I will stay online all night trying to figure out to become an actress and meet the Jonas Brothers. I act older than I am. I act about 15. As people say. My friends say I am a good singer and a good actress. I practice all the time. I video myself singing and acting so I can get better and better. If I was on J.O.N.A.S. I would probably faint. NO JOKE. I would be on any Disney show. My iPod is pretty much ALL Jonas Brothers. My room is covered in Jonas Brothers pictures. I have 1 on my ceiling so I can see them when I am laying in bed. We spent over $100 dollars trying to win a contest to meet the Jonas Brothers. I am currently in a contest right now. I met the Jonas Brothers dad. He seemed to really like me and my best friend Savannah. I love the Jonas Brothers with all my heart. I won’t go out with any guy that asks me out because I am to into the Jonas Brothers. I would only date Nick. He is really close to my age. And he is my biggest inspiration out of the 3 of them because he keeps going and doesn’t let anything in his way. I cry for hours when I hear him talking about his diabetes and when he sings the song A Little Bit Longer. I am the most dedicated fan. I am very responible. I am captain of our cheer team because I am able to keep up with everything. I always get done what needs to be done. I am not lazy. And I am a very hard worker. I have a good attitude about everything. I do not lie about anything. I am a Christain. I bring alot of people up when they are down. I know how to talk to people. I am a good girl. Well on my opinion, They want SAG members because they do not want over million people coming to audition for it. They want REAL actresses. To become SAG, you can be ANY age! You just have to become Aftra for a year then you ill turn over to Sag. Or if you get 3 disney channel extra parts then you automatically turned into Sag. So it’s pretty easy to be Sag. and you get paid more than a non-union actress. And they don’t want REAL fans because the director doesn’t want to have to deal with Amateurs. I’m not calling you guys amateurs, it’s just that they ant Pros at this. people that actually have taken Acting classes and everything. If you want to get into acting, go to gonnabe.com and sign up for a screen test.

my daughter is in the entertainment business and you can’t become a member of SAG without working on a SAG affiliated project.

the easiest way is to work 3 jobs as an extra for disney or anyone that is affiliated with SAG. Once you receive 3 SAG cards, you can apply for SAG membership. sometimes it takes years for an actor/actress to become a SAG member.

please let me be part of this show ive always dreamed of being on tv and it seems like this dream wont come true im trying to find auditons around my area but i cant seem to find any for a girl whos 15 i think i can act and ive always wanted to meet the jonas brothers i missed there concert a few days ago which made me very upset and i tryed to win this contest to meet them but i didnt win it please email me and let me know when the auditons are for this i would love to be part of this it could be my big break thank you
