Jake Gyllenhaal Lands Role as Prince in New Walt Disney Movie

It’s official - Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton will star in the new Walt Disney Movie “Prince of Persia:The Sands of Time“. The movie is the film adaptation of Ubisoft’s popular video game.

Gyllenhaal will play Dastan, a young prince in 6th century Persia. Dastan must join forces with Tamina (Arterton), who is a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent the villain from possessing the Sands of Time.  The Sands of Time is a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow the person who possesses it to rule the world.

The film will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and production will start sometime in July.

I’d say they picked a great guy to play a prince! He sure looks like one. I am already looking forward to this movie.
