Miley Cyrus Officially Changes Her Name to Miley Ray Cyrus

Don’t call her Destiny Hope anymore. Oh wait, we never did! We have always known Miley Cyrus as Miley or Hannah Montana. We told you awhile ago that she was changing her name from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Ray Cyrus. It was reported back then that it was legally changed, but she just turned in the official documents on Friday in Los Angeles and TMZ has obtained those documents. You can see them here.

What was the reason her parents gave on the document for the name change?

“Destiny Hope Cyrus has been commonly known as Miley Cyrus since she was a young child. The Change of Name is requested to make her commonly used name the same as her legal name.”

As soon as Miley publishes a public notice of her name change, she can start signing checks, credit card receipts or whatever as Miley Ray Cyrus!
